DEER HUNTER EDITOR DEAD AT 88
Oscar-winning THE DEER HUNTER editor PETER ZINNER has died at a Santa Monica, California hospital. He was 88.
Zinner also co-edited the first two Godfather films.
He had been suffering from a long illness when he was admitted to St. John’s Health Center.
Born in Austria, the revered editor also worked on The Professionals, A Star Is Born and An Officer & A Gentleman, for which he received an Oscar nomination.
