HOFFMAN PLAYED MATCHMAKER FOR PORTMAN

NATALIE PORTMAN will never forget the first time she met screen legend DUSTIN HOFFMAN - he tried to set her up with his son.
Portman, who stars alongside the movie great in new family film Mr.
Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, was appearing in a play 10 years ago when Hoffman came backstage and introduced himself.
And the two-time Oscar winner wasted no time in igetting the actress to talk to his son on the telephone.
She recalls, "I was doing a play in New York and he came backstage and was so, so lovely - and put me on the phone with his son.
"His son is lovely but wasn’t interested in me, (although) Dustin was interested in adopting me into his family."
