RADIOHEAD SLAM ALBUM DOWNLOAD STATISTICS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:18 pm

British rockers RADIOHEAD have hit back at reports their new album IN RAINBOWS was downloaded for free - branding the statistics "wholly inaccurate".
The band released their latest LP as a digital download last month (Oct07) and allowed customers to choose their own price.
Figures recently released by the company comScore suggested that 62 per cent of people who bought the album chose not to pay anything for the download.
But the Creep hitmakers have vehemently denied there is any truth to the reports.
A representative from the group’s management says, "In response to purely speculative figures announced in the press, the group would like to remind people that, as the album could only be downloaded from the band’s website, it is impossible for outside organisations to have accurate figures on sales." The spokesperson went to add that Radiohead "confirm that the figures quoted by comScore Inc are wholly inaccurate and in no way reflect definitive market intelligence or, indeed, the true success of the project."
