All Saints star Mel Blatt claims she is broke.
The singer – who had a string of top ten hits with the girl band in the 90s – has been forced to sell her £1.2 million London home because she can no longer afford it.
She said: "We’re not as rich as people think. We all had to share royalties and writing credits, and we didn’t sell as many records as the Spice Girls so I’m downsizing." Mel – who was an original member of the band along with Shaznay Lewis and sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton – has previously admitted to suffering from money troubles.
After giving birth to daughter Lily Ella in 1998, she said: "Unfortunately I have to go back to work to make money." All Saints first burst onto the music scene in 1997 but split in 2001 after a series of arguments left the girl group barely on speaking terms.
They reformed last year but their comeback single ‘Rock Steady’ flopped and they were later dropped by their record label.
