SORVINO CONSIDERS A POLITICAL FUTURE
Oscar winner MIRA SORVINO is considering a career in politics after wowing politicians with her human trafficking knowledge.
The Mighty Aphrodite star has often been asked to consider running for office ever since she made her first official visit to Washington, D.C. in 2004 to speak up for women’s rights.
And, although Sorvino insists a political career isn’t something she’s considering right now, she doesn’t rule out the possibility.
Speaking to Capitol File magazine, she says, "It’s a fascinating prospect, but I think it would be down the line.
"I want to be the best mother I can be to my children, and I don’t think running for public office right now would allow me the time I need to give them." Sorvino became interested in human trafficking issues while researching her role in harrowing 2005 movie Human Trafficking.
