LED ZEPPELIN HIT BY SCAM
LED ZEPPELIN’s reunion tour has been hit by a scam - tickets have been selling online for up to $8,000 (£4,000)-a-piece.
The rockers refused to issue tickets ahead of the tour this Christmas (07) in a bid to stop touts making a profit.
But the plan to protect the 20,000 who applied for tickets at London’s O2 Arena backfired after guitarist Jimmy Page broke his finger, forcing the band to postpone the gig for two weeks.
A concert spokesman says, "We’ve done as much as possible to stop touts buying large amounts of tickets." The Led Zeppelin reunion gig was originally scheduled for 26 November (07), but will now go ahead on 10 December.
