LANGHAM LAUNCHES SECOND APPEAL OVER CHILD PORN CONVICTION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:42 pm

Disgraced British actor CHRIS LANGHAM has launched a fresh appeal against his 10-month jail sentence for child pornography charges.
The 58-year-old comedy star was found guilty in August (07) on all 15 counts of making indecent images of a child, following the police discovery of explicit films on his home computer.
Langham maintained his innocence throughout the trial, claiming the internet downloads were part of his research for BBC TV drama Help.
And now his lawyers are making a second effort to have the sentence overturned after a previous attempt was refused.
Lawyer Angus McBride says the star has an "arguable case".
Langham is expected to serve just five months of his sentence, with authorities also taking into account the 43 days spent in custody prior to his conviction.
