Celebrity blogger PEREZ HILTON is breathing a sigh of relief after a judge threw out a defamation lawsuit brought against him by LINDSAY LOHAN’s best friend.
DJ Samantha Ronson - younger sister of British-born producer Mark - had taken legal action against Hilton after he accused her of being responsible for the cocaine found in Lohan’s car following her (May07) arrest for driving under the influence.
However, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elihu M. Berle sided with the blogger - real name Mario Lavandeira - in a ruling made on 1 November (07).
Judge Berle accepted Hilton’s defence that Ronson’s lawsuit was "frivolous" and dismissed the $20 million (£10 million) action as an attack on the right to free speech.
Ronson was ordered to pay Hilton’s legal fees.
