FIERCE DENIES INVOLVEMENT IN ATTEMPTED MURDER INCIDENT
Rapper FIERCE is protesting his innocence over alleged assault and attempted murder charges relating to an incident last month (Oct07), insisting the police have arrested the wrong person.
Fierce - real name Qandeel Nixon - faces a total of 11 charges ranging from assault to weapons violations after being accused of a shooting at a house party in New Jersey on 21 October (07), where several attendees were also stabbed, according to AllHipHop.com.
Nixon was taken into custody one week after the crime took place (28Oct07) after a youth identified him from a police description of the man responsible for the attack.
But Nixon’s representatives have defended the rising hip-hop star, claiming he was nowhere near the New Jersey house at the time of the attack - he was at Carli’s Bar in the Hillside area of the state and several witnesses including a bartender, an off-duty police officer and a pal can all testify to that.
Nixon is currently being held in a New Jersey jail on a $200,000 (£100,000) bail bond.
