NO MORE THUMBS UP FOR McCARTNEY
SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has ditched his trademark thumbs-up gesture - because he is fed up of the constant ridicule the action has attracted.
The former Beatle has been using the classic gesture for over 40 years, but now insists he’s a thumbs-free zone.
He says, "I have been chastened by world opinion on that and you will not actually see me do it. "I’m from Liverpool (England) and a lot of people will do a thumbs-up. Also I am optimistic and want to remain optimistic. It seems natural to me."
