MURRAY STILL JOKING ABOUT GOLF CART ARREST IN SWEDEN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:03 am

Funnyman BILL MURRAY has learned he was arrested for drink driving in Sweden this summer (07) because the country has a zero-tolerance policy about such crimes.
Murray was pulled over for driving a golf cart through Stockholm at 3.30am dropping friends off after a party.
He refused a field breath test and was later forced to give blood in a police station.
And he insists he would have avoided the controversy altogether if he’d have picked a different mode of transport.
He jokes, "He (police officer) wanted me to blow into some sort of technical device that tests your alcohol content and I said, `I’m sorry, but where I come from, you have to act stupid or goofy or hit something or drive erratically…
You’re just assuming that I’m drunk because I’m driving a golf cart at 3.30 in the morning.’ "I gave them my blood and they took my blood and my blood count was 0.3 something - it’s like half the legal limit for the United States of America…
But, for having any amount of alcohol and driving a golf cart, you have to pay something.
"The next time (I visit) I’m gonna get a big truck."
