BECKHAM RAISES $100,000, BEATS CELEBRITIES 10-4

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:42 pm

DAVID BECKHAM’s celebrity soccer match between his L.A. Galaxy teammates and VINNIE JONES’ Hollywood United on Sunday afternoon (04Nov07) raised $100,000 (£50,000) for the victims of the California wildfires.
England manager Steve McMahon watched as Beckham scored twice in the Galaxy’s 10-4 victory.
Without A Trace star Anthony LaPaglia, a former Aussie professional, was the stand-out star of the celebrity team, which also featured Beckham’s manager Alexi Lalas and Def Leppard star Viv Campbell.
LaPaglia played in goal for the celebrities and insists he’ll never forget stopping one of Beckham’s shots.
After the game, he said, "That one goes on the (computer) screen saver. I never thought I would get the opportunity to face him in an actual game."
