Pop star LANCE BASS terrified a group of young fans when he accidentally locked them in his Hollywood home one Halloween.
The former ‘N Sync star had just moved to Los Angeles when the trick or treaters came calling - and he gave them CDs and memorabilia when he realised he had no candy.
Their delight quickly turned to dismay, however, when they realised they couldn’t leave.
Bass explains, "I had one group of trick or treaters come and ring the bell and I didn’t have anything for them, so I had all these CDs.
"Literally, 20 minutes later I get a knock on my door and they’re like, `We’ve been trapped inside the gate for 20 minutes.’ They were so scared to come back. They didn’t know how to get out."

Legendary rocker MEATLOAF has sparked fears for his health after cancelling a second concert from his U.K. tour.
The Bat Out Of Hell hitmaker, 60, cancelled a gig at the NEC Arena in Birmingham on Friday (02Nov07), citing acute laryngitis.
On Wednesday (31Oct07), the singer abandoned the stage mid-way through a concert at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, citing exhaustion.
Meat Loaf - real name Marvin Lee Aday - is "devastated" after axing the gig.
He says, "Performing for my fans is the most important thing in the world to me. Over the years, I’ve gone on stage with a broken foot and an arrhythmic heart.
"It was devastating having to come off stage in Newcastle but over time, I’ve reluctantly learned that I have to abide by what the doctors tell me to do." The star is due to perform in Manchester, London, Nottingham and Cardiff as part of the European leg of his Three Bats Tour.
The NEC has rescheduled the concert for 29 November (07).

While bandmates Mel B and Geri Halliwell wear sexy black lingerie in the promo for Headlines (Friendship Never Ends), Posh Spice Beckham spices up the video even more with a form-fitting ensemble featuring straps and ribbons. The group’s more modest members, Mel C and new mum Emma Bunton, chose not to disrobe for the sexy video - instead they wear designer gowns and suits.

ANGELINA JOLIE and PRISON BREAK star WENTWORTH MILLER have topped a new online Ultimate Hotties poll.
Readers of U.S. magazine Entertainment Weekly and its Internet site EW.com spent a month voting for the sexiest stars, and after tens of thousands of votes were counted, Jolie and Miller came out tops.
They were chosen from a list of 200 fellow sex symbols- Jolie garnered 20 per cent of the vote and Miller 13 per cent.
Raquel Welch was the female runner-up, while Batman Christian Bale came in second behind Miller.
Among the other icons who made the cut were Marilyn Monroe , Sophia Loren, Dorothy Dandridge, Paul Newman, Cary Grant and Will Smith.

BRITNEY SPEARS is under investigation after she ran over a Los Angeles County Sheriff deputy’s foot in her Mercedes Benz.
Days after the Toxic troublemaker accidentally drove over a photographer’s foot, Spears floored officer Stanley Mosk as she exited Los Angeles County Court following her custody hearing last week (26Oct07).
Sheriff’s Department officials have filed a traffic collision complaint and now the LAPD is conducting an "active investigation" into the mishap, according to TMZ.com.
Mosk has been hobbling around court on crutches since the accident, and his superiors have been forced to reassign him to light duty.
A police source reveals officials are looking at the incident with a view to filing another hit and run charge against Spears.
The pop star narrowly escaped a hit and run conviction last month (Oct07) after agreeing to settle an August (07) parking lot accident out of court.

LATEST: OZZY OSBOURNE is raging after learning his name was used as part of an elaborate sting operation to trap deadbeat dads and custody dodgers in North Dakota.
Fargo sheriff Paul D. Laney and his team sent out bogus invites to 40 rock fans on their state wanted list, asking them to join Ozzy and touring partner Rob Zombie for a drink before the pair’s city show on Monday (29Oct07).
But, instead of meeting the rock stars, those who attended the `meet-and-greet’ met police officers, who handcuffed them.
The authorities have spent much of the week congratulating themselves for a job well done, but Osbourne isn’t cheering - because they used his name to trap fans without his permission.
In a statement, Osbourne reveals he was particularly annoyed when he discovered Sheriff Laney had held a congratulatory press conference. The former Black Sabbath star says, "Instead of holding a press conference to pat himself on the back, Sheriff Laney should be apologising to me for using my name in connection with these arrests.
"Sheriff Laney went out of his way to tarnish my reputation by implying that I somehow attract a criminal element, which is certainly not true.
"My audiences are good, hard-working people who have been hugely supportive of my music for nearly four decades."

BEN AFFLECK fought back tears of pride as he jumped to his feet to give his actress wife JENNIFER GARNER a standing ovation at the close of her official first night on Broadway on Thursday (01Nov07).
As Garner, Kevin Kline and the cast of Cyrano De Bergerac took a curtain call, Affleck stood and cheered.
After the show, he beamed, "I think she is terrific and I am really just thrilled." And it’s not just Affleck who loves his wife’s new role - the actress’ Broadway debut has been declared a hit by the top New York critics.
New York Times critic Ben Brantley has called Garner’s performance "captivating", adding "(She) makes Roxane a girl worth pining over." But Garner insists she won’t be reading her reviews - good or bad.

Model-turned-activist HEATHER MILLS is planning to give 80 per cent of the cash she wins in a divorce settlement with ex SIR PAUL McCARTNEY to charity - but she can’t talk about it.
The amputee, who publicly blasted the former Beatle on TV this week (beg29Oct07) for failing to support her after they split, fears a judge will rule against giving her a large cash settlement if she confirms she plans to give most of it away.
But, in an interview with U.S. news show Access Hollywood, Mills hinted about her plans.
Show host Billy Bush asked, "If I’m to understand this correctly… when the settlement is over… 80 per cent of whatever you get is going to charity?" Mills replied, "Well, I can’t officially say that because then I won’t get it, because the judge will say, `If you’re going to do that with it, you can’t have it!’ So I can’t say that.
"But I have, in my life, given 80 per cent of my income to charity." But before anyone will get anything from the divorce, Mills insists she has a huge legal debt to pay.
She adds, "I owe one and a half million to my lawyers."

Aussie soap stalwart IAN SMITH is quitting NEIGHBOURS after almost 20 years of playing beloved character HAROLD BISHOP.

In a magical new photo, taken by famed snapper Annie Liebovitz, Andrews plays the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio, while a winged Breslin is her assistant.
The images were superimposed on to a forest backdrop with Andrews appearing to float through the trees, while Breslin sits on a leaf.

Spanish movie star JAVIER BARDEM almost turned down his acclaimed new role in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN - because he hates guns.
The peace-loving actor admits he was left scarred after holding a gun in the film Perdita Durango at the beginning of his acting career, and never wanted to do it again.
He says, "I’ve done only two movies, where I hold a gun. Once I did it in 1996 and it was an experience. I hate it. It’s not that I hate the movie. I think the movie is fun.
"But it was very violent. I had good fun with the director, but I hate the experience of killing people.
"Eleven years after, I do a movie with the Coen Brothers, No Country for Old Men, where I am a killer. It took me a little while to say yes to this, even though the Coens are my favourite directors."

One-time BATGIRL ALICIA SILVERSTONE has recorded a telephone voicemail in an effort to prompt American parents to get tough with obesity.
The actress has spoken out on behalf of the Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine, a group aiming to change legislation to help combat the U.S. obesity epidemic.
The 31-year-old vegan, who recently stripped for a provocative People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) ad, jumped at the chance to help get America healthy when she discovered that government surplus foods are a major cause for childhood obesity.
Silverstone started the campaign by calling her own senator, Barbara Boxer, and demanded she support a new Fresh Act, which goes before Congress in Washington, D.C. next week (begs05Nov07).
Then, the actress recorded her message, which will be picked up by thousands of Americans this weekend.
In the voicemail, Silverstone says, "In the next few days the Senate will decide whether to continue massive subsidies for meat, dairy products and other foods that are fuelling the epidemic of childhood obesity.
"Our kids need help and now we have a chance to change things. "A good amendment to the Farm Bill, called the Fresh Act will cut subsidies for unhealthy foods." She urges those receiving the phonecall to call their state Senator’s office in Washington, D.C. and request they support the Fresh Act.

LATEST: Officials at the Writers Guild of America will be walking out on strike on Monday (05Nov07), bringing Hollywood to a virtual standstill.
Board members have voted unanimously to strike as of 12:01am on Monday, marking the first walkout in 20 years.
The "inevitable" strike comes after union bosses and TV and film producers failed to come to an agreement over royalties for programmes distributed over the Internet.
The union’s most recent strike, in 1988, lasted over five months.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 is all systems go - stars VANESSA HUDGENS and ASHLEY TISDALE have signed on for the second sequel.
Amid reports Disney bosses wouldn’t welcome Hudgens back after naked cameraphone photos of her appeared online, the pretty brunette was the first castmate to sign up for the film, closely followed by Tisdale.
The news follows a hold-out by the leading castmates, but now all of them are expected to return for High School Musical 3.
Hudgens’ real-life boyfriend Zac Efron is expected to sign on for the third film and a publicist representing Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman tell Us Weekly magazine the pair is in final negotiations to join the movie, which will be the first High School Musical to have a national theatrical release.
The first two movies broke TV records when they aired in America.
Shooting on the third film is scheduled to begin in January (08).

LATEST: The man police caught trying to sell computer equipment and photographs stolen from the set of the upcoming INDIANA JONES movie has been sentenced to serve two years and four months in jail.
Roderick Davis, 37, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property and commercial burglary on Thursday (01Nov07).
He was caught when police posed as gossip website journalists interested in buying the stolen photographs and arranged to meet with him in a Los Angeles hotel.
