Former THE VIEW host STAR JONES REYNOLDS has been accused of ’stealing’ from a Michigan non-profit organisation after accepting plane tickets from them to party during the 2006 NFL Super Bowl.
The Detroit women’s group, Full and Fabulous, a non-profit organization that helps plus-size women and girls cope with peer pressures, claim they invited the 45-year-old to speak at their Health, Beauty and Self-Esteem conference during the 2006 Super Bowl in Detroit. They claim Jones Reynolds demanded a first-class airfare, a suite at a five-star hotel and $30,000 (£15,000) to show up.
The group tell Detroit TV station WXYZ how they bought Jones Reynolds - a trained U.S. lawyer - the airplane tickets to Detroit, which she then used to party during the Super Bowl weekend and to plug her book.
The TV star never showed up at the conference. However, Jones Reynolds’ representative refutes the group’s claims, branding them "distorted".
According to the spokesperson, Jones honoured all contractual terms of the deal but the organization did not and have fabricated a fascinating story to make a meaningful name for themselves.

Former CATATONIA frontwoman CERYS MATTHEWS has played a secret gig for inmates at a high security prison in her native Wales.
The singer, who recently divorced her American husband and moved back to the U.K., stood on a makeshift stage as she performed in front of 80 prisoners.
She jokes, "I thought about doing Jailhouse Rock but didn’t want to rub it in. The prison was pretty intimidating but I had a fantastic time."

Rapper EMINEM denies he is dating a lookalike of his ex-wife KIM MATHERS.
The Without Me hitmaker sparked rumours he was dating music studio manager Marni Bright after they were spotted at FBT Studios in Ferndale, Michigan.
But Eminem’s representative, Dennis Dennehy, played down relationship reports.
He tells New York gossip column PageSix, "They are not romantically involved." Eminem ended his one-year marriage to Mathers in 2006.

LATEST: HEATHER MILLS has angrily denied rumours a firework display at her England home caused the death of her neighbour’s dog.
The former glamour model has been accused of causing the death the animal after holding a party for her daughter Beatrice’s fourth birthday at her EastSussex home last week (28Oct).
But Mills has branded the claims "fabricated".
Her spokeswoman tells the New York Daily News, "The fact that they have also tried to ruin her daughter’s birthday by fabricating a story on the death of an animal, whose owner pretended that the fireworks display during her daughter’s birthday was the direct cause of the dog’s death, when in fact the dog died of an abdominal catastrophe."

Rapper SNOOP DOGG was left disappointed after his spectacular entry to the MTV Europe Music Awards on Thursday (1Nov07) was axed at the last minute.
The hip-hop star - who was hosting the ceremony - was expecting to be chauffeured onstage by British motorsports star Lewis Hamilton in a sparkling limousine.
But Hamilton pulled out of the stunt in Munich, Germany, because a sponsorship deal with Mercedes prevents him from driving any other vehicle.
A source tells British newspaper the Sun, "Snoop had it all worked out. Lewis was going to be the ultimate chauffeur. Snoop has taken a real interest in Lewis’ incredible story over the last year and wanted him to have a starring role at the bash. The plan went through only to be knocked back because of the car."

Former U.S. President BILL CLINTON turned to rocker BONO for advice when he was trying to solve a visa headache over Sinn Fein leaders MARTIN McGUINNESS and GERRY ADAMS.
The U2 frontman admits he was surprised when the then-President asked for his opinion - and he’s glad Clinton ignored it.
Speaking to rock magazine Rolling Stone, Bono reveals, "Bill Clinton once rang us, because he was collecting opinions on whether he should give Martin McGuinness and Gerry Adams a visa into the United States.

Fashion icon DAME VIVIENNE WESTWOOD has followed in the footsteps of designer STELLA McCARTNEY - by vowing to never to use fur.
The British designer has banned fur from her lines after meeting with representatives of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Europe (PETA).
A spokesman for Westwood says, "We have not used fur of any kind in next season’s collection, and have no plans to use it in the future." McCartney, the daughter of Beatles legend Sir Paul, made the same pledge to PETA.

American BIG BROTHER winner MIKE ‘BOOGIE’ MALIN has been arrested in Colorado for allegedly assaulting a waitress in a sports bar.

Rock legend ALICE COOPER will perform his infamous ‘hanging’ stunt on his upcoming tour - almost 20 years after a near fatal attempt.

Legendary rocker MEATLOAF has played down reports he is quit his U.K. tour just days after abandoning a gig in England.
The Bat Out Of Hell singer, 60, stunned fans at a concert in Newcastle, England on Wednesday (31Oct) when abandoned the gig, citing exhaustion.

Pop group DURAN DURAN have cancelled a special U.K. gig to debut their new album over fears for the band’s safety.
The Rio hitmakers were due to perform the one-off concert at London’s Leicester Square Odeon next month (Dec07), but British police have called off the performance amid fears crazed fans will invade the theatre.

LATEST: LANCE BASS has retracted a shock revelation he once married a girlfriend for free alcohol, insisting it was "just a joke".
The former ‘N Sync singer - who is openly gay - confessed to a quickie wedding in Las Vegas in "1999 or 2000" with a girl who was "just a friend" but their attempts to get free booze failed miserably.

British rockers THE CRIBS have been forced to postpone their upcoming American tour, due to scheduling conflicts.
The much-hyped group was scheduled to begin a month-long tour later this month (Nov07), but success in Europe has prompted the group to rethink their American plans.
The scheduled dates will now be moved to early 2008, and the band insists that tour will be "a much more extensive" trek through America and Canada.

LATEST: Former RAMONES manager LINDA STEIN’s personal assistant is to be questioned by police investigating her murder.
Stein, 62, was found dead in the kitchen of her New York apartment on Tuesday night (30Oct07). Raul Diaz Bernal - who worked as Stein’s assistant at brokerage firm Prudential Douglas Elliman - tells The New York Daily News he is scheduled to meet with police for questioning.
Police launched a homicide investigation, after an autopsy revealed she had died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck. There were no signs of forced entry to her Manhattan home.
Bernal was fired by Stein after the pair argued over a commission.
