ROWLING: ‘NEW BOOK IS AN ODE TO POTTER’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:21 pm

HARRY POTTER creator J.K. ROWLING has completed a set of handwritten fairytales - as a way of saying "goodbye" to the schoolboy wizard she created.
The British author has created seven volumes of The Tales of Beedle the Bard as an ode to the much-loved character, played by actor Daniel Radcliffe in the award-winning movie series.
The fairytales, which were illustrated by Rowling herself, are her first works since her final Potter novel was published in July (07).
Rowling feels the books - to be auctioned off to raise money for her charity, The Children’s Voice - were a "wonderful way" to say goodbye to Potter but insists they will never be published.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard appeared in the final installment of the Potter series, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, as a book given to Hermione by Dumbledore.
