Two members of Polish thrash metal band DECAPITATED are recovering from serious head injuries following a tourbus crash on the Russia/Belarus border earlier this week (beg29Oct07).
Drummer Witold Kieltykaand, aka Vitek, and frontman Covan were hospitalised after the bus they were travelling in collided with a truck in Gomel.
A spokesman for Covan’s family tells hard rock news website Blabbermouth.net, "Covan and Vitek are still at the hospital in Novozybkov, Russia, where they were taken to following the accident.
"Their families are currently trying to decide the best possible city and hospital to take them to next for additional medical attention.
"Covan is showing some progress, but unfortunately, there have been no signs of improvement on Vitek’s condition."

The SPICE GIRLS will save a fortune flying around the world on their upcoming reunion tour - Virgin Atlantic founder RICHARD BRANSON has offered them an exclusive pass.
The British billionaire will cover the expense of all the group’s Virgin Atlantic flights himself, because he still feels he owes the five-piece for signing with his Virgin record label 12 years ago.
He says, "I got to know them at that time. We released their first single, Wannabe, back in 1996." The Spice Girls reunion tour will begin in Vancouver, Canada on 2 December (07) and end in February (08).

OZZY OSBOURNE has lashed out at illegal downloaders, blaming them for the poor sales of his new album BLACK RAIN.
The heavy rock icon claims he is "suffering terribly" from the effects of internet piracy, and his financial woes are such that he has been forced to perform 90 concerts in an effort to recoup his losses.
He tells Australia’s Herald Sun newspaper, "If they don’t find something to stop (this), people won’t be able to make records. There won’t be any new bands. How are they going to survive?" Osbourne admits he’s struggling to complete a gruelling world tour he felt committed to after his new release took a hit in the record stores.
And he refuses to heed his manager/wife Sharon’s advice and "just stand there" onstage.
He adds, "I ain’t getting any younger. Sharon says to me ‘Just stand there.’ I can’t just f**king stand there! I’m a moving target. People would aim their can of beer at my head!"

ARCADE FIRE frontman WIN BUTLER has vowed never to play in Nottingham, England again after he was struck in the face by a flying bottle midway through a concert in the city on Wednesday night (31Oct07).
The Canadian band was performing fan favourite Neighbourhood #3 (Power Out) at the Nottingham Arena when the incident occurred.
Stunned Butler carried on with the show, singing, "Where’d you go? No seriously. Where’d you go, you f**ker?" The group stopped playing later in the show when another missile was thrown onstage, and angry Butler told the Halloween night crowd, "We’ll never play Nottingham again."

Hollywood star BRAD PITT loves to be criticised by film journalists - because it makes him a better actor.
Pitt was not upset when his movie The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford suffered a number of delays, insisting it gave him the opportunity to improve on his performance.

She said, "When we first split, I said to Paul, ‘I’m going to be crucified, I’m going to have a modern day stoning.’ "I said to Paul, ‘You know why we split, you know the truth. They don’t need to know the details, but you need to stand up and say, "I am responsible for the breakdown of this marriage." You’ll be a hero because it’s always two parties, but in this case it’s very heavily one-sided.’ "I said, ‘If you say that, I’ll walk away with nothing and we’ll do a very gentle and quick divorce.’ And he promised he’d do that, I have evidence of that and he did nothing."

American TV star DUANE ‘DOG’ CHAPMAN has apologised for repeatedly using the word ‘n**ger’ in a private phone call to his son.
The star of U.S. TV series Dog The Bounty Hunter allegedly told his son to break-up with his black girlfriend during a taped conversation which was leaked online.
Chapman was forced to issue an apology after bosses at A&E television suspended production on his reality series.
He says, "My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation." A spokesman for A&E says, "We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action."

LATEST: ISAAC HANSON is preparing for a second session of surgery in a bid to cure him of a life-threatening illness.
The 26-year-old was hospitalised after he experienced shoulder and chest pains during a Hanson gig in Dallas, Texas earlier this month (02Oct07) and underwent surgery to treat a pulmonary embolism.
The singer is now taking blood-thinning medication to prevent future clots and has been scheduled for a December (07) operation to remove a rib pressing against a vein.
Younger brother Taylor says, "Isaac is doing well and he’s got a clean bill of health. We got back on the road, amazingly (four days after his first surgery). We are going to take a little break so he can have his surgery.
Hopefully it will solve his problem."

Teen pop star AARON CARTER has finally won his lawsuit against boy band svengali LOU PEARLMAN.
Carter filed the lawsuit against Pearlman and his label TransContinental Records in October 2006, asking to be released from a contract he signed as a minor.
On Thursday (01Nov07), a Florida judge ruled in favour of Carter, ordering that his management and recording agreements are no longer in effect, reports website TMZ.com.
Carter also asked for an accounting of royalties but the judge has not yet ruled.
Pearlman is currently awaiting trial on bank fraud charges in a Florida jail.
