PFEIFFER SET FOR GREASE RETURN
MICHELLE PFEIFFER is set to return to the GREASE franchise by playing Rydell High’s sassy headmistress in a remake of the blockbuster 1978 musical.
The actress has revealed she has been approached to appear in the new film, and she’s keen to visit Eve Arden’s role, Principal McGee.
Pfeiffer, who starred in the 1982 sequel Grease 2, claims producers are trying to persuade Jessica Simpson to take the lead of Sandy - played by Olivia Newton-John in the original.
The actress says, "It’s a great idea and I hear they would like to get Jessica Simpson for the role of Sandy. She would be good.
"I would love to play the school principal. She is fun and has some great put-down lines. I think I would like the part now that I have been asked."
