SPICE GIRLS UNDER PRESSURE FOR WORLD TOUR
THE SPICE GIRLS have been warned by management to be on their best behaviour for their upcoming world tour - because they will be earning at least $20 million (£10 million) apiece.
The fivesome will be hard at work as the tour is scheduled to last a minimum of three months - during which none of the girls will be granted leave, despite four of the singers being mothers to small children.
A tour manager for the group says, "They know that this is make or break time. No one is going to shell out all those millions and not expect - indeed demand - value for money. They’ve been warned that there must be no tantrums.
They can’t fall ill or have off-colour days and whatever personal crisis might arise in their lives it must not be played out in public. "What that means is that if one of their children is unwell, or one of the girls gets homesick, or even if they have marriage or partnership problems, the show must go on." The band kick off their global tour on 2 December (07) in Vancouver, Canada.
