GOODREM’S MOTHER DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER
Australian singer and cancer survivor DELTA GOODREM is devastated after discovering her mother has been diagnosed with the disease.
Lea Goodrem found out she has breast cancer eight weeks ago, after finding a lump while lying on the couch at her home in Sydney, Australia. She has already begun treatment that will include chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
She tells newspaper The Sydney Telegraph, "I didn’t take much notice of it but about 10 days later I went to the doctor because it was playing on my mind.
We found out really quickly that it was breast cancer and we moved from there.'’ Delta Goodrem, 22, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a form of cancer which attacks the body’s immune system, at the age of 18. She successfully fought the disease and is now in remission.
