DOHERTY HANDED SUSPENDED JAIL TERM
LATEST: Rocker PETE DOHERTY has been given a suspended four-month prison sentence in relation to his May (07) arrest for drugs and motoring charges.
The Babyshambles frontman was handed the sentence - suspended for two years by District judge Davinder Lachhar after appearing at West London Magistrates’ Court on Friday (26Oct07).
The British star was also given an 18-month supervision order and a 12-month drug rehabilitation order after being charged with driving illegally while in possession of drugs in west London on 5 May.
He has also been ordered to pay a $950 (£475) fine for driving without insurance or an MOT (car safety test).
The suspended jail term comes two days (24Oct07) after a judge released the singer from a drug treatment order six months early.
