MATCHBOX TWENTY STAR ATTACKS DJS OVER ‘BLACKMAIL’ BID

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:08 pm

MATCHBOX TWENTY star ROB THOMAS has blasted two callous North Carolina DJs who poked fun at his recent food poisoning problems in a letter to a local newspaper.
Thomas was forced to scrap an appearance on the Matt & Ramona Show because he was so sick and was appalled to learn the DJs had openly mocked his illness on the radio.
Matt & Ramona told listeners that they wouldn’t play another Matchbox Twenty tune on air until the singer personally apologised to the fans who had tuned in to hear the interview.
Thomas writes he was not happy to hear about the "blackmail", nor the fact that the DJs "chose to read and make fun of letters that fans sent".
He concludes, "We thank you for the years of support and are sorry it has to come to an end, but there is no way we will ever apologise after being threatened on the air."
