CURTIS BLAMES CALIFORNIANS FOR WILDFIRE DISASTER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:26 pm

Actress JAMIE LEE CURTIS has slammed the residents of southern California, blaming them for the wildfire disaster.
The Trading Places star is not among those directly affected by the tragedy, which has cost 1,430 families there homes so far, but she’s shattered by the loss of lives and property.
And she has a tough message for her fellow southern Californians: "This is not an act of God!" The angry actress fumes, "We live in southern California, we build houses where we shouldn’t build them, we’re living in the worst drought this country’s ever had and we pretend that we’re not and we water our lawns; talk about ultimate denial.
"We’ve done this, we’ve created all of this… This isn’t an act of God, this is an act of man."

SPEARS PAL DENIES HE’S SELLING DIARIES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:26 pm

BRITNEY SPEARS confidante SAM LUTFI has hit back at reports he’s trying to sell the troubled singer’s diaries - after finding her journal in the trash.
Reports suggest Lutfi has been offering the diaries to U.K. publications for a $2 million (£1 million) payday, but the latest deal with an unnamed tabloid has just fallen flat.
But the dancer insists he’s not trying to sell the journal, telling Life & Style magazine, "Britney doesn’t have any diaries." However, a source close to the deal, insists Lutfi is behind the sale of Spears’ "deepest feelings at the most troubling time of her life".
The insider says, "The tabloid flew a reporter to Los Angeles to continue negotiations. Sam wouldn’t back down on the price. It was $2 million or nothing. Sam said it had to be worth it because he was risking everything.
"The diary contains entries about how her drug use spiralled out of control." And the deal also included a series of emails sent between Spears and concerned members of her family.
The source adds, "One was from (father) Jamie to Britney asking her to find God. He also wrote about how he’d battled addiction and how he blamed himself for Britney’s predicament."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:14 pm

MARCIA GAY HARDEN is hoping her harrowing post-surgery breast reveal in new movie RAILS & TIES prompts all women to get tested for breast cancer.
The Oscar-winning actress plays a woman dealing with cancer in the film, which features one eye-popping scene where her character looks at herself in a mirror after a mastectomy.
She tells Movies.com, "A radical mastectomy is fearful. It’s equivalent to a guy having a testicle lopped off.
"Women’s breasts are such an integral part of them; when you get them you know you’re growing up. They’re sexual objects. They provide food for your babies.
"To lose one is a lot to cope with psychologically. And it’s just one more wake-up call to women that routine examinations are so important."

MORRISON’S DOOR FOR SALE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:11 pm

The front door of the home rock legend JIM MORRISON lived in for six years of his life is up for sale on auction website eBay.com.
The door, which fronted the Clearwater, Florida home owned by The Doors star’s grandparents Paul and Caroline Morrison, was carefully removed by contractors working for building company Triangle Development when the house was demolished to make way for a condominium project, which is currently under development.
Triangle bosses, realising the importance of the door, preserved it and other artifacts to memorialise the late singer/songwriter.
In a tribute to Morrison, St. Petersburg, Florida artist Judith Dazzio painted the door with the mural she calls When The Music’s Over.
A doorbell on the frame plays three different short clips from the song when pressed.
The auction ends on 28 October (07); the current bid stands at $2,500 (£1,250). Proceeds from the auction will go to charity.
