The SPICE GIRLS have forced music TV station VH1 to scrap plans for a new reality show to find the U.K.’s best tribute act to the group.
Wannabe: Spice Girls was due to start later this year (07), but the programme makers now have to remove all references to the girl group after encountering resistance from the band’s lawyers.
A spokesperson for VH1 says, "It’s true we’ve had to change the format. There are definitely legal discussions with the Spice Girls’ lawyers."
