LEWIS WAS HUNGOVER FOR FIRST SPIELBERG MEETING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:26 am

BAND OF BROTHERS star DAMIAN LEWIS still can’t believe he landed the role of MAJOR RICHARD WINTERS in the epic World War Two drama - because he was hungover when he first auditioned for STEVEN SPIELBERG.
The British actor was so excited to be in with a chance of meeting Spielberg in Los Angeles he went out celebrating with pals - and was still drunk when the movie mogul requested an early morning audience with him.
Lewis recalls, "I got really drunk and stayed out all night. I got a call at 8am and was told that Steven Spielberg wanted to see me.
"After drinking coffee after coffee and having three showers to sober up, I went into a slightly anxious and sweaty audition. But it all went well."
