BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN star JAKE GYLLENHAAL wants to be taken seriously as an actor - insisting he is not a Hollywood "pretty boy".
The 26-year-old is uncomfortable with being called a sex symbol and would rather fans focus on his talent as an actor.
He tells British magazine Cosmopolitan, "I don’t want to be judged on my appearance because I didn’t do anything to get my looks. I’d rather be appreciated for what I do in my movies."
