SOULJA BOY CHALLENGED OVER NAME
Hip-hop sensation SOULJA BOY is set for a legal showdown with his MO THUGS namesake SOULJAH BOY.
The 1990s rap star, part of the Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony collective, claims the Crank That (Soulja Boy) hitmaker, real name DeAndre Way, has "infringed and misappropriated his name." Souljah Boy’s lawyers tells TMZ.com they are planning to contact the appropriate parties to seek compensation.
But Soulja Boy’s representative tells the website the rapper’s full name is Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em and insists the two names are very different.
