O.J. SIMPSON CO-DEFENDANT AGREES TO TESTIFY
A co-defendant in the O.J. SIMPSON armed robbery case is expected to plead guilty to a lesser charge in return for his testimony that guns were involved in the September (07) raid that landed the American football star-turned-actor in jail.
Charles Cashmore will plead guilty to being an accessory to robbery in a Las Vegas court on Monday (15Oct07).
He is accused of being one of five men who joined Simpson in a raid on a hotel suite (13Sep07).
According to reports, Cashmore will testify that two of the men in Simpson’s posse were carrying guns.
Simpson spent three days in a Las Vegas jail following the incident. He was then released on bail and allowed to return home to Florida. He will be back in court for a hearing later this month (Oct07).
