DAVID and VICTORIA BECKHAM have hit out at claims they moved to Los Angeles to become celebrities - insisting there are far more interesting stars than them.
It was claimed soccer star David chose to play for Los Angeles Galaxy so the pair could become regulars on the Hollywood celebrity circuit, and even crack the movie industry.
But Spice Girl Victoria insists, "When we came here, we didn’t come here to be celebrities. There are so many fantastic celebrities here in America - Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, they’re much more interesting than us."

ORLANDO BLOOM has been involved in a car accident in Los Angeles.
The movie star was driving a black Toyota Matrix belonging to Pirates of the Caribbean director of photography Dariusz Wolski when he collided with another motorist early on Friday morning (12Oct07).
Police were called to the scene of the accident.
TMZ.com reports one person involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
As WENN went to press it is not known if Bloom was licensed to drive his friend’s car, or if the actor was the injured party, who suffered cuts and bruising.

Latino heart-throb ENRIQUE IGLESIAS is set an appearance on popular U.S soap opera THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.
The singer, 32, will perform a track from latest album Insomniac at the Indigo; a jazz haunt owned by fictional character Neil Winters, played by Kristoff St. John.
He says, "It’s tough out there, so you need any outlet to put your music out there." The episode will be aired on American TV later this year (07Nov07).

British star LILY ALLEN has banned magazines from airbrushing pictures of her, even if they make her look slimmer and more attractive.
The singer hates the way publications digitally enhance celebrity photographs - and refuses to allow her image to be manipulated.
She says, "I’d be really upset if a magazine airbrushed me. But they do, don’t they? I’m about to do a shoot for a magazine that has airbrushed its cover girls in the past. ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s psychiatrist received a rude awakening on Friday morning (12Oct07) when her home was raided by police investigating the death of the tragic model/actress.
California authorities served Dr. Khristine Eroshevich with one of several search warrants as they upped their investigations into the death of Smith, who died of a fatal overdose in a Florida hotel back in February (07).
Ironically, Smith’s longtime companion, Howard K. Stern was with the doctor when the members of the justice department arrived at her home, according to TMZ.com.
Stern was in Los Angeles after appearing on the Larry King Live show on CNN on Wednesday (10Oct07).
Eroshevich is also under investigation by the Medical Board of California after admitting to prescribing a haul of drugs for her celebrity patient in the days following her son Daniel’s death last year (06).

Sexy supermodel CINDY CRAWFORD snapped at a fan during a signing session in Dallas, Texas recently - when he asked her to autograph a copy of men’s magazine Playboy.
The bold fan took his copy of the 1998 Playboy, which featured nude shots of Crawford - and asked the model to sign away.
But Cindy was far from amused, according to the National Enquirer, and she stopped the session - at Bachendorf’s jewellery store there and then.
A fellow fan says, "Cindy was furious." Sources tell the publication that Crawford was told she’d only be signing promotional pictures of her wearing an Omega watch she was there to promote, and when she was handed the Playboy spread she was surprised.
The fan adds, "Security promptly threw the fan out." An event spokesperson confirms the incident, explaining the model was put in an awkward position after all fans were told she would only sign authorised photographs, provided at the event.

LATEST: J.K. ROWLING and movie giants Warner Brothers have lost their battle to stop an Indian school from building a replica of HARRY POTTER’s Hogwarts Academy.
The Kolkata Organisation have erected a structure in the shape of the school for its four-day Hindu festival of the Goddess Durga.
When Warners and Rowling discovered the building they filed a two million rupee ($50,000; £25,000) suit for breach of copyright.
But a court in Delhi rejected the claim and allowed the wood and papier mache structure to remain.

American rockers COUNTING CROWS have delayed the release of their next album for a year - so they can spend more time in the studio.
The double album, entitled Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings, was originally scheduled for release later this year (06Nov07), but the band has pulled the plug so they can spend more time on it.
Adam Duritz says, "There are videos and singles and so many things to decide on and finish and it’s just not the time in our career to be rushing important decisions.
"Actually, in my opinion, it’s never the right time to rush important decisions. We really try to make records that last forever. I don’t see the point in putting all the work in to do that and then not having the right cover or picking the wrong single or making the wrong video."

A U.S. prison inmate is seeking a restraining order against pop star BRITNEY SPEARS - after alleging the star held him at gunpoint forcing to him to commit an array of crimes.
Jonathan Lee Riches appeared in a 2006 TV documentary aired on CNN called How To Rob A Bank, and claims - in a handwritten lawsuit - Spears can be seen in the footage forcing him at gunpoint to commit identity theft.
He also alleges Spears forced him to pay for abortions, breast implants, cocaine and alcohol - and insists other footage shows the singer threatening to detonate chemicals worn around Riches’ neck, reports TMZ.com.
The inmate also believes the Toxic star is planning to visit him in prison to force him to rob other prisoners in order to pay for another abortion.
Riches is currently serving time for fraud at Federal Correctional Institution in Salters, South Carolina. He has previously filed lawsuits against various celebrities including President George W. Bush, Martha Stewart, and Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

JERMAINE JACKSON continues to plead poverty in his ongoing divorce battle with his estranged wife, claiming he has been forced to move in with his mother.
In new court papers Alejandra Jackson insists she is desperate for cash, disclosing that she has an average monthly income of only $81 (£40.50).
But her estranged husband claims he cannot afford to pay her child custody cash - because he’s broke.
In his declaration, Jackson maintains, "I currently do not have any employment and I do not have any income from which to pay support." The Jacksons have two children, and Alejandra has a further two children with Jermaine’s brother, Randy.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ record label Zomba has sued celebrity blogger PEREZ HILTON for illegally posting tracks from her forthcoming album on his website.
The company claims Hilton - real name Mario Lavandeira - illegally obtained and uploaded at least 10 completed songs and incomplete demos from new LP Blackout onto the site.
The copyright infringement lawsuit was filed by Zomba - which owns the copyright to Spears’ recordings - on Thursday (11Oct07) in the U.S. district court in Los Angeles, but does not specify the amount of monetary damages being sought.
Zomba has confirmed Spears is not a party in the case.
It comes just a day after Lavandeira was the subject of a court summons (10Oct07) to appear in the dock in a $20 million (£10 million) defamation case over claims he accused DJ Samantha Ronson of being responsible for the cocaine found in Lindsay Lohan’s car following her (May07) arrest for driving under the influence (DUI).
