BEN AFFLECK considered quitting Hollywood in the aftermath of his much-publicised relationship with JENNIFER LOPEZ.
The actor-turned-director was engaged to Lopez when the couple split in 2004, both parties blaming excessive tabloid coverage for the separation.
And Affleck was so sick of his lifestyle, he almost took up a new line of work.
In an interview with American magazine Parade, Affleck says, "I took a year off. I needed time to get my head straight and figure out if I even wanted to work in this business anymore.
"I was tired of being lied about and taken advantage of. I was really disgusted."
