MICHAEL JACKSON has hit out at reports he has abandoned his children’s nanny GRACE RWARAMBA as she struggles with lupus disease, branding the claims a "hilarious rumour".
The Thriller star was accused of "acting like a child" in his treatment of his long-serving employee - the woman he was rumoured to have married last month (Sep07) - and left her to deal with her illness alone at her home in California.
A source told the New York Daily News on Tuesday (09Oct07): "(Rwaramba) is not doing well. She’s ill, and she could use his (Jackson’s) spiritual, mental and financial support right now.
"I do believe (Jackson) has affection for Grace, but he acts like a child.
…He could at least give her a call and say, ‘How are you doing, Grace? Do you need more doctors?’ But it’s never like that. It’s always taking." But Jackson’s spokeswoman Raymone Bain has dismissed the latest rumours.
She says, "(It’s a) hilarious rumour. I can guarantee she is not very ill.
I’ve spoken to her in the last two hours."

AMERICAN IDOL host RYAN SEACREST has urged BRITNEY SPEARS to stay out of the public eye while she deals with her personal problems.
Spears has been in the headlines for various reasons this year (07), including her stint in rehab, her divorce from dancer Kevin Federline and their subsequent custody battle over their two sons.
But the radio DJ/TV presenter insists Spears should spend more time at home and avoid courting the media during her personal crises.
He says, "I don’t understand her constantly being in front of the cameras.

The British singer, 20, has changed her representation numerous times throughout her five-year career, and is now determined to go it alone.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ first husband JASON ALEXANDER has blamed the star’s troubles on her circle of Hollywood pals - insisting they don’t really care for the singer.
Alexander wed the Toxic singer in Las Vegas in January 2004 - but the union was annulled just 55 hours later.
Despite their brief marriage, Alexander still cares for Spears and has encouraged her to ditch her fake friends and turn to her family for support.
He says, "Look at the photos - I don’t see any of her friends from Kentwood (her hometown in Louisiana).
"That’s not Britney. She’s lost. She needs to be true to herself and reach out to those who care about her."

LINDSAY LOHAN has confirmed she’s dating snowboarder RILEY GILES in her first in-depth interview from rehab.
The actress, who has been linked to a couple of Cirque Lodge patients since checking into the Utah facility in August (07), insists she hasn’t dated anyone there until she met the California-based X-Games star.
In an exclusive interview with In Touch Weekly magazine, Lohan says, "I am seeing someone. His name is Riley. I am really happy and taking it day by day." But she denies reports she dated another patient, musician Tony Allen - and contributed to the break-up of his marriage.
She adds, "Rumours are rumours. I don’t really have anything to say about that. Tony and I were just friends and if anyone has anything negative to say, I would just like to ask, ‘Why?’ "We were just friends and that was it." Lohan has also been linked to Sonny Bono’s teenage son, Chesare.

Pop princess KYLIE MINOGUE caused a sensation when she made a surprise visit to a London theatre school on Tuesday morning (08Oct07).
Pupils at the Brit School of Performing Arts and Technology scrambled to get a glimpse of the Australian star after her unexpected arrival.
Student Natasha Rocca says, "I’ve never seen news travel so fast.
"All of a sudden there were hundreds of people trying to speak to her. The whole school shut down for about half an hour." The 39-year-old singer’s visit is linked to the Music Industry Trust, which she is due to receive an award from later this month (Oct07).

LINDSAY LOHAN has given her first frank in-depth interview from rehab and insists she’s planning to turn her troubled life around, give up partying and plan a charity mission to Africa.
The Mean Girls star, who has been a patient at the Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Utah since August (07) following two drink-driving charges earlier this year (07), has opened up to America’s In Touch Weekly magazine.
Still completing her stay there, Lohan insists her "self destructive" ways are behind her: "Partying and having all of those pictures taken distracts from the work that I do. It’s not why I started acting.
"I didn’t get into acting to be written about. It kind of just happened - so I accept that it’s my life. But there are some things that I can do to make changes and grow up. I want to act like a woman rather than a teenager. I am doing the best I can." And she admits rehab has been a "humbling" experience - once she learned how to take orders from others: "It was hard surrendering and having people tell me what to do. It was really humbling for me, but I liked how I was treated as a normal person.
"I kept the common areas clean. I liked making coffee for the gym the best." Lohan is now hoping to return to filming before jetting off to Africa, adding, "I’m planning a trip to Africa during the second week in December. I’m working with the American Red Cross, but it is not finalised yet." Lohan also used the In Touch article to apologise to fans for letting them down.
She concludes, "I just want to apologise to any of my fans that look up to me, especially my younger fans, for setting the examples that I didn’t mean to set.
"That is one of the reasons that I want to change things. I don’t want to be known as that person. I have a younger sister and she looks up to me, too. All the negative stuff that gets said hurts my feelings, it hurts my sister, Ali, and my family."

LATEST: The nephew of legendary LORD OF THE RINGS author J.R.R. TOLKIEN is pleased the legal fight which may prevent PETER JACKSON directing THE HOBBIT will soon be resolved.
Jackson had been touted to take the helm for the movie prequel to the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, but the moviemaker is currently involved in a long-running court battle with New Line Cinema over alleged unpaid royalties, which may put a stop to his involvement in the new project.
However, New Line studio boss and LOTR producer Robert Shaye is said to be close to initiating a ceasefire in the row and allowing Jackson back on board, according to British newspaper The Independent.
Tim Tolkien says, "It would be complete madness for Peter Jackson not to be involved. This would be great news." New Line are reportedly in a rush to make The Hobbit because they only hold the rights to the novel for a limited time.

The 22-year-old passenger hurt in the car crash involving wrestler HULK HOGAN’s son NICK will need to be cared for in a nursing home for the rest of his life.
U.S. Marine John Graziano was critically injured in the crash in Florida in August (07). His skull was broken at the base, he experienced brain swelling and a large amount of blood collected under the skull.
Court documents reveal he is still on life support - he can only manage to open and close his eyes and his condition is unlikely to improve.
A report was filed by registered nurse Joanne Jones, who was hired by the court to examine Graziano’s condition. She claims he has a gag reflex and can respond to being pinched, but has no reaction to sound or touch and his pupils do not respond to light.
Her report, detailing the findings of Graziano’s doctor H. Bushnell Clarke, reads, "At this present time, he states his prognosis remains guarded. He states that this young man most likely will spend the remainder of his life in a nursing home." If 17-year-old Hogan was found to be speeding when he crashed, he could be held criminally responsible for Graziano’s injuries.

The musician has given up the habit after 25-years - something his father John failed to achieve during his lifetime.

Rapper/actor LUDACRIS is to be honoured by the National Runaway Switchboard (NRS) for his charity work to keep youths off the streets.
The hip-hop star - real name Christopher Bridges - and his Ludacris Foundation will be presented with the organisation’s 2007 Spirit of Youth award at the annual event, which recognises philanthropic efforts to keep U.S. teens safe.
Bridges has been campaigning for the safety of youths since his hit Runaway Love - a duet with Mary J. Blige - in 2006.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "I am extremely happy my association with the National Runaway Switchboard has had a positive impact on reaching out to runaways and potential runaways. When I wrote the song, I wanted young people to know running away from their problems is not the answer and that they did not have to face every problem alone." He will be presented with the award on 1 November (07) at a ceremony in Chicago, Illinois.

Weightwatching superstar JANET JACKSON has had all her clothes specially fitted - to stop her from piling on the pounds.
The singer, 41, is currently winning a long term weight battle, after years of yo-yoing between fat and thin - and she’s determined to stay slim.

British pop star LILY ALLEN wants to become an actress after she finishes her next record.
The 22-year-old has decided to take a break from music to follow in her father Keith Allen’s footsteps and concentrate on her acting career instead.

An uncensored promotional video for BRITNEY SPEARS’ comeback single GIMME MORE has been pulled from YouTube, according to reports.
Racy footage of the singer cavorting in a stripper’s outfit pretending to be a pole dancer was posted on the site, but was removed last Friday (05Oct07) over claims of copyright infringement from record company SonyBMG, of which Spears’ label Jive is a subsidiary.
The official Jake Sarfaty-directed video is expected to be aired on MTV this week (ends12Oct07) - a much less controversial video accompaniment than the footage leaked onto the internet.

LINDSAY LOHAN is refusing to quit acting after a disastrous year dominated by two driving under the influence arrests and three spells in rehab - insisting, "I’m here to stay".
The star, 21, insists she "hit rock bottom" after her final stint, in a rehab clinic in Utah - and has been slowly regaining the strength to make a comeback.

"I had such a hard time finding great organic and non-toxic items for my daughter. I wanted to create a place where parents can come and find products that are safe for their children, as well as good for the planet."
