Pop superstar KYLIE MINOGUE feared she would never be able to record another album following her treatment for breast cancer.
The singer, 39, did not predict a career comeback after taking a year out of the industry to battle the disease in 2005.
And the Spinning Around hitmaker admits she "went nuts" in a bid to reassure herself she could still perform during the recording of new album X.
She says, "I got out some emotions that haven’t ended up on this album but they were the stepping stones. I needed to reach this point."
