PAMELA ANDERSON has married her longtime pal RICK SALOMON in a Las Vegas ceremony.
The 40-year-old took time out in between her magic shows at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino to marry Salomon at the Mirage Hotel on Saturday night (06Oct07).
The former Baywatch star wore a white denim Valentino dress at the small ceremony which was attended by her children Brandon and Dylan, actor Tobey Maguire, Lukas Haas and magician Hans Klok.
The couple sparked marriage rumours after applying for a marriage license last month (Sep07) A source tells People.com, "They are head over heels in love. They are really close. They have a relationship already and they have the license." It is the third marriage for Anderson who is divorced from Tommy Lee and Kid Rock. Salomon, 38, is divorced from actress Shannen Doherty.

British Singer LILY ALLEN has dropped two dress sizes - thanks to a London hypnotist. The Smile singer, 22, has shed weight since attending $600-(£300) an hour "brain reprogramming" sessions with hypnotism expert Susan Hepburn.
She says, "After the hypnotism I want to go to the gym every day otherwise I feel really bad. I just want to get more toned and healthy. I’m really good at the moment - I’ve never been happier." Of her success with Allen, Hepburn says, "Lily was great, a really nice girl.

Rocker KID ROCK decided to divorce PAMELA ANDERSON when her comments about his family upset his son.
The rock singer finally came to the decision to split with the Baywatch star last year (06) when she criticised his mother and sister in front of his teenage son Robert James Ritchie Jr.
He says, "It had stuff to do with the pre-nup and the post-nup. It had stuff to do with lying to me.
"But when I saw it starting to affect my son, when she would talk down about my mother and about my sister - two people who were very instrumental in raising my son with me, when these things started to go on. You know, I had uprooted everything that I had known to do everything I could for her. I moved from Michigan, a small town. I bought a house in Malibu. I uprooted my son, who I had raised as a single father there for 14 years, put him in Malibu High School. All these things.
"And when I saw it starting to affect him, that’s when I stepped back and I was like, un-nnh. That’s it. And that’s the morning I filed for divorce."

MADONNA’s attempt to adopt a second Malawian child has been thrown into doubt after the child’s outraged uncle voiced his opposition to the move.
The pop superstar, 49, and film director husband Guy Richie are expecting 13-month-old orphan Mercy James to be the latest addition to their family following the successful adoption of David Banda from Malawi last year (06). However, Mercy’s uncle, John Ngalande, insists he does not want the child to be adopted by a white person.
He tells British newspaper The People, he says, "We were told when Mercy went into the orphanage that we would be in constant contact with her and that she would come back to us after six years. I would like to stick to that. Whether it be Madonna or any other white person, I’m against our child being taken away." He adds, "I would rather we be poor and struggling with Mercy, than for her to go and live with a big white star far away."

DEADWOOD star IAN McSHANE has developed a new fondness for snakes after 10,000 of the slithery reptiles were dumped on him for a scene in his new movie THE SEEKER.
The British actor was nervous about the sequence at first, but the film’s snake handler made sure he was comfortable.
He says, "I kind of like snakes. They don’t bother me at all. They were great. We had a snake handler there, called Russ, and he brought them; I think they came from Hungary. I mean they were good as gold, so it was fine.
"There were no sudden movements. They weren’t crawling on my face. They just laid them across the body. I’m not averse to animals like that. I’d much rather snakes than having a cow sitting on me."

Oscar-winning moviemaker ANG LEE loves ordering Hollywood stars around on set but struggles with social interaction outside of work.
The Brokeback Mountain director believes making small talk is far more daunting than dealing with actors on a movie set.
He says, "When I’m off the set, it’s hard for me to carry a conversation.
That’s more difficult for me than making a movie.
"Making a movie, I have plans in my head. Somehow one way or another I manage to roll the camera and get something in the can. But off the set, at the dining table … it’s still awkward for me.
"It’s hard for me to feel comfortable socially. I’m always shy, it’s just part of my character. It’s an incredible burden on my shoulder. But I’m passionate about making movies, so as far as I’m concerned, that’s the duty I have."

Hollywood actress MICHELLE PFEIFFER is desperate to land a movie role as a vampire - because she already owns the costume.
The 49-year-old - who plays a wicked witch in her new film Stardust - admits she has harboured an obsession with the fang-toothed creatures since childhood.
She says, "I used to like to dress up as a vampire I have to say. That was my most memorable costume." Pfeiffer also prefers playing evil characters over the good guys, adding, "Yes I think bad guys have more fun. I don’t know about real life, but let’s just say actors playing bad guys definitely have more fun."

Talk show host MONTEL WILLIAMS married partner TARA FOWLER in Bermuda on Saturday (06OCT07).
The couple married at an intimate beach-side ceremony following a 15-month engagement.

British rocker GARY JARMAN has been admitted to hospital after suffering from suspected blood poisoning.
The Cribs’ bassist is thought to have contracted the condition after accidentally cutting himself with the strings of his bass guitar during a recent gig.
He had complained of pains in his arms on Saturday (06Oct07), but managed to play a scheduled gig in Sheffield, England.
Jarman was taken to a local hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning (07Oct07) where it was confirmed he was suffering from blood poisoning. Doctors prescribed him a course of antibiotics and ordered him to stay the night.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and his wife PATTY SCIALFA have been sued by a former member of the U.S. Olympic Equestrian Team who accuses the pair of backing out of a deal to buy a horse Sportsman Todd Minikus filed the breach of contract lawsuit on Thursday (4Oct07) in Palm Beach County, Florida claiming the Springsteens backed out of a deal to pay $650,000 (£325,000) for a horse named Pavarotti for their teenage daughter Jessica, according to TMZ.com.
The couple allegedly put a $25,000 (£12,500) deposit on the horse in July (07) and promised to give Minikus their horse Scarlett - worth $200,000 (£100,000) - but pulled out of the deal.
The lawsuit states, "This case involves a simple matter of parties on one side of a contract getting cold feet and attempting to avoid their obligations.
"The cold-footed parties are entertainers Bruce and Patti Springsteen." Minikus is seeking damages and compensation for the continued daily upkeep of Pavarotti and claims that the value of the horse has declined since the couple reneged on the agreement.

Hip-hop star LIL’ WAYNE has been arrested in Idaho on a felony fugitive charge - after being accused of possessing drugs in the state of Georgia The rapper, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, was apprehended by authorities on Friday night (05Oct07) following a gig in Boise, and was booked into Ada County jail.
Carter was picked up on a felony warrant out of Fulton County, Georgia, for a felony possession of drugs charge. Authorities from Georgia contacted Idaho police and gave them the heads up about the warrant.
The 25-year-old was not eligible for bond due to the nature of the charge, and was not expected to make an appearance at his second consecutive gig at the city’s Qwest Arena - upsetting fans and concert promoters who have bombarded the prison with angry phonecalls.
An unnamed deputy at the jail says, "Every other phone call that we’ve picked up have been about him - people who have tickets wanting to know where his concert will be, people calling to see if it’s true that he’s incarcerated." Carter is scheduled to be formally charged on Tuesday (09Oct07) and is expected to be granted the option of waiving his extradition to Georgia.
