MOSS RIMMEL ADVERT BANNED IN U.K.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:38 am

KATE MOSS’ mascara advertisement for cosmetics giant Rimmel has been banned in the U.K. after the supermodel was accused of wearing fake eyelashes in the commercial.
The TV and magazine adverts promoting Rimmel’s new Magnif’Eyes mascara claim the product boosts the length of women’s eyelashes by up to 70 per cent more than rival brands.
But the British Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has ruled the commercial "misleading", because the company behind the promo cannot disprove allegations that Moss was wearing additional false lashes. The news comes three months after L’Oréal was condemned for producing "misleading" mascara adverts featuring actress Penelope Cruz.
