BERRY DIDN’T WASH FOR A MONTH TO PLAY DRUG ADDICT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:50 am

Hollywood beauty HALLE BERRY once went for a month without washing in order to play a crack addict convincingly.
Berry starred alongside Wesley Snipes and Samuel L. Jackson in director Spike Lee’s 1991 movie Jungle Fever, and decided the best way to prepare for the role would be to appear as unwashed as possible.
She says, "That was my first acting job, so that was the only way I knew how to do it, was to try and be it.
"And I went to a real crack den with an undercover police officer. When they put the bullet-proof vest on is when I should have said, ‘OK, no I’m not going to do this.’ "But I had no idea what this world of crack cocaine was, what this life was, so I had to go in and see it because I don’t think at that time it was anything you could read about.
"So yeah, I didn’t bathe for really about a month."
