BARRYMORE’S DURAN DURAN OBSESSION
Hollywood actress DREW BARRYMORE is so obsessed with British pop group DURAN DURAN, she believes she is destined to marry one of them. The Charlie’s Angels star has confessed to a life-long crush on Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor and hopes to one day meet her idols.
She says, "Oh, God - Duran Duran. I was convinced, if any member of that band would meet me, they would understand I was supposed to be their wife. I was absolutely in love with them. "I loved Boy George, too, and Cyndi Lauper. But Duran Duran were the ones."

Simon and John were/are indeed hot, but Nick’s the hottest, because he has an understated sexuality and he’s androgynous and he is flawless. The way he dresses is also incredibly sexy, as are his beautiful voice and sexy smile…and who can forget those eyes?!?!?!?!?!

Nick “flawless”??? Highly doubtful! Doesn’t he have that gigantic blemish on the side of his face??? And isn’t he, like, 4 inches tall or something??? His eyes aren’t all that great either, unless they are heavily made up! So, no, Nick is not “flawless”. John Taylor, to this day, is always flawless! **sigh** And, for the record, nobody besides yourself thinks Nick is the hottest DD member. The most musically talented, maybe, but certainly not the hottest!

The whole group is hot!! Maybe certain people have a favorite member/members, but give me any of those guys anyday!! They are a million times hotter than most of the doofuses out there today, who try to be sexy, but can’t succeed!! To me, ALL the guys in Duran Duran are right up there with George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt!!
And, Nick is just as popular as Simon, John, Roger..and Andy, there I said it!! And, even though I have no personal faves, I truly miss Andy. He added something.
A word to the wise…one cannot be a true Duranie if she doesn’t think the entire band is something special, or if she pans one of the members…epsecially one of the FOUDNING members!!

I love Nick Rhodes and John Taylor. I never liked Simon Lebon because he ain’t that cute and he thinks he’s the greatest thing in the world. I also feel he kind of swooped in and took credibility away from John and Nick, who both started the band. I also love Roger, he’s cute but he’s sort of the quiet one. I never liked Andy, though.

I remember when I was going to junior and high school, John Traylor and Nick Rhodes were the ones myself and all the other girls went crazy over, because they were always the hottest members. Simon never did it for us, because he’s not that attractive and he just thinks he’s so great. I still love John and Nick after all these years. They are still the cuties of the band. I can’t believe Nick’s 45!! He still looks so hot.

No, Simon is hot. He’s rugged and masculine, while John and Nick are pretty and girlie. But, Simon is the hottest Duran Duran member, because he’s hunky and adventurous. This doesn’t take away from Nick and John’s musical abilities, though.

To Kellie and Christine, I don’t know where you went to school. Because I grew up in the ’80s and I clearly remember Simon and John being all the rae amongst Duranies. All the girls, including my friends, were debating over which one was hotter, and it was usually always John. Actually, it was John one week, and it was Simon the next. If you favored Nick, then you were either a nerd, or you never told anyone, because Nick is the gay one…why else do you think all his past girlfriends and wives looked like men???? And if someone favored Roger and/or Andy, they were totally in the dog house. But, Simon and John were the main attraction. They were the Brad Pitt and George Clooney of their time. I still get the twitters just thinking about those two tall beauties. And, to the girl who said the whole band was hot, I know you’d probably like to think that, but the sad fact is while all of them are indeed musically talented, John and Simon are the only truly attractive (and TALL) ones in the whole band.

Nick Rhodes and John Taylor are definately the HOTTEST Duran Duran guys. Simon’s okay, but he tries too hard. Roger’s sort of third on my list. Andy’s just a dick. But John and Nick are the cutest guys in the whole band and all my friends think so too. I cannot wait to go to NYC next week!! I am going to meet John and Nick if it kills me!! BTW, Drew Barrymore is bisexual. She loves men and women.

i remember all the older teens were drooling over simon and john, but all the younger girls, like 11-to-14, myself included, were in love with nick and john, because they were nonthreatening and cute. i never liked simon and i still dont. he gets on my nerves. btw, i went to see them in concert last week in new york…and i got john and nick’s autograph…ON MY ARM!!!! AHHHHH!!!!

I have loved Duran Duran since I was a teenager in the ’80s. They have been my favorite band forever, even more so than The Beatles and The Stones!! Now I have yet ANOTHER reason to love Drew Barrymore, she’s a fellow Duranie!! God bless Drew!! I love the entire band, but Nick Rhodes is SO FREAKING HOT!!!!!!! MMMMM!!!!!

I understand people having favorite
members of Duran Duran here.
But let us not tear any of them down
for not being our favorite.
Me, personally, I happen to like all of them,
and aside from all being really hot guys, I love
their music and believe all of them contributes
something important to the band.
Nick, Simon and John are all equally hot, though
in their own ways, as are Roger and Andy, though
Andy is no longer with them.
But, you cannot be a true Duranie if you diss one member
of the band.

I went to see them in concert last week at the Barrymore Theatre, and they were DYNAMITE!!!!! I just hate that such a great band who have done some great songs and videos had to work with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, and that they were about to work with Britney Spears!! I also hate that they had to go and do a video about Britney and Lindsay. Especially since the girls in the video look young enough to be their kids!! Gawd, I thought these guys had better sense! Well, then again, they did do that video in the early 80s that featured naked young women. Nonetheless, they are a great band!

I love John Taylor and Nick Rhodes, because they seem like cool guys and the most down to earth of the band…that and they are still the cutest members. I never liked Simon Lebon, because he just comes across as being really arrogant and a diva…but I also learned he’s a bit of a sleeze. I read a few years ago that Drew, my favorite actress by the way, saw Simon backstage after the MTV Awards, and she went up to him and started talking to him, but he just walked away from her. Later that day, it was learned that he told a reporter who asked “How could you just walk away from Drew Barrymore?”, and his response was, “I like Britney Spears.” I read he did a similar thing to Jennifer Aniston a few years ago in a record shop. She went up to him and tried to talk to him about how she used to wait for him and the band after a concert, and he just snubbed her. He also said, when interviewed about it, that Jennifer isn’t his type and he would have been more excited if it was Britney Spears instead. Gee, I don’t know how his wife and kids even put up with that! Anyway, I did get to meet Nick and John after the show, and they were very nice and friendly. I didn’t even bother with Simon.

What’s all this “Simon-loves-Britney-Spears” stuff???? As I remember correctly, Simon had recently said he lost all respect for Britney after she kissed Madonna at the MTV awards. Simon has his eye on sexy, sophisticated ladies, not a washed up, fat, filthy, ugly pile of white trash dung like Britney!! I remember him saying he likes Scarlett Johansson and Cameron Diaz. Not to forget he happens to be very happily married for twenty years to a gorgeous supermodel with whom he has three young daughters. Granted I’ve always been more of a Nick Rhodes fan than a Simon fan, but I never once read anything where Simon said he liked Britney more than Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore. Maybe you just have a very active imagination. On a side note, why did you have to go and drag Britney’s name into this??????
