LEVINE & GYLLENHAAL JOIN COMEDIAN FOR AHMADINEJAD GAY SPOOF

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:17 pm

MAROON 5 star ADAM LEVINE and JAKE GYLLENHAAL have teamed up with U.S. comedian ANDY SAMBERG to poke fun at Iranian leader MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD in a hilarious new video.
Saturday Night Live regular Samberg, who recorded cult favourite Dick In A Box with Justin Timberlake, has penned a quirky love song to the Iranian President, called I Ran - and Levine has joined him for the chorus.
The pair premiered the quirky promo, which suggests Ahmadinejad is Samberg’s gay lover, on SNL at the weekend (29Sep07).
The video also features Gyllenhaal - because Samberg declared the Brokeback Mountain star looks like the Iranian leader.
In the song, Samberg sings, "I know you say that there are no gays in Iran, but you’re in New York now, baby!" The video comes after President Ahmadinejad gave a controversial speech at Columbia University last week (ends28Sep07), in which he made the claim, "In Iran, we don’t have homosexuals like in your country."

DEL TORO’S BEARD HELPS HIM BOND WITH THE HOMELESS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:11 pm

Oscar winner BENICIO DEL TORO has discovered he has an unspoken bond with homeless men after growing a long beard for his new film.
The actor has grown his facial hair for his role as late revolutionary Che Guevara in upcoming movie Guerilla.
And, though he quite likes the nods he gets from vagrants, he admits the look also presents some problems.
He says, "It makes airports tougher. There’s a different line for the dangerous-looking characters. Girls don’t check you out as much, and guys look down.

COENS SHOCKED TO LEARN THEY CAST BROLIN’S SON BY MISTAKE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:08 pm

Filmmakers JOEL and ETHAN COEN were forced to give their new movie NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN a period setting on the first day of shooting - when they realised they’d mistakenly cast JOSH BROLIN and not his father JAMES in a leading role.
No Country For Old Men was written as a contemporary production, but when the Coen brothers found out their leading man - who would be playing a Vietnam War veteran - was nearly 30 years younger than they’d expected, they set the picture in the late ’70s instead.
Writing in American magazine Esquire, the Coens say: "To round out the cast we hired - we thought - rugged everyman Jim Brolin as Llewelyn Moss, the ageing Vietnam vet caught in the middle.
"Well, there were some red faces on the set the first day of shooting when Jim Brolin’s son Josh showed up to play the part.
"Crossed wires, misunderstanding had resulted in our casting office offering the part to an actor who was patently thirty years too young. Talk about a boo-hoo… Too late now though - the contracts were all signed.
"Well, that’s show business. You roll with the punches. You make it work. How could Josh Brolin plausibly be a Vietnam vet? Simple - set the story in 1980 instead of the present day. A quick huddle with production designer Jess Gonchor and, bingo, we’re a period picture."

SPEARS LOSES CUSTODY OF HER SONS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:38 pm

BRITNEY SPEARS has lost physical custody of her sons.
Los Angeles County judge Scott Gordon ruled minutes ago that the boys’ father Kevin Federline will retain full custody from 3 October (07).
The news comes after Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, presented his client’s case in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday morning (01Oct07).
Reports suggest Kaplan raised concerns about Spears’ qualities as a mother after she was spotted driving without a licence over the weekend (29/30Sep07) while her children were in the car.
Insiders claim Kaplan also brought up Spears’ driving without a licence charge from 6 August (07), when she was involved in an alleged hit-and-run motoring offence after crashing into a parked car in the San Fernando Valley.
The emergency hearing lasted an hour and took place behind closed doors.
Meanwhile, Spears could face more legal trouble if she fails a court-ordered, random drug test, administered twice weekly. (KL/WN/GES) WENN - BREAKING NEWS - 1 OCTOBER 2007 —————————————————————-
