Eighties’ pop star SINITTA has hit out at THE X FACTOR judge DANNII MINOGUE, insisting she is nothing more than a SHARON OSBOURNE "copycat".
Sinitta, 40, was denied the chance to become the fourth addition to the judging panel on the hit British talent show by her former mentor Simon Cowell, and instead was relegated to helping pop wannabes improve their act.
And the singer believes 35-year-old Minogue - who joined the show earlier this year (07) - adds nothing special to the programme.
She says, "I would definitely be better than Dannii. I don’t think she takes away from the show, I just don’t think she brings anything new.
"She even looks like her (Sharon). They needed a new flavour and I would have brought that." A spokesman for The X Factor refused to comment on Sinitta’s remarks.

SHARON OSBOURNE was so desperate to expand her family after giving birth to son Jack, she and husband OZZY attempted artificial insemination - but the process was "mental torture".
The rock matriarch, 54, turned to in vitro fertilisation (IVF) in the late 1980s after discovering her fallopian tubes had been ravaged by a stomach infection shortly after Jack was born in November 1985.
But the process proved to be too harrowing for the Osbournes to cope with.
Sharon says, "Sadly it didn’t work. After I had Jack I got a stomach infection and I didn’t treat it, so the infection spread into my tubes and messed them up. So we went through IVF but oh my God, I just couldn’t take that ride.
"The wait for results, for each phone call, was mental torture. It did me in and I couldn’t go through it again."

OZZY OSBOURNE has agreed to a suicide pact with wife SHARON - because she doesn’t want to go through the pain her father DON ARDEN did when he suffered from Alzheimers.
The American Idol judge, 54, claims she and rocker Ozzy, 59, made the mutual decision earlier this year (07) after music mogul Arden lost his struggle with the neurodegenerative disease and died in July (07) aged 81.
She says, "We believe 100 per cent in euthanasia, so have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains. If Ozzy or I ever got Alzheimer’s, that’s it - we’d be off.
"We gathered the kids around the kitchen table, told them our wishes and they’ve all agreed to go with it. There’s no way I could go through what (my father) did, or put my kids through that.
"My father deteriorated at such a rapid speed he became a shell of himself.
Some say the disease is hereditary so at the first sign I want to be put out of my misery." And Sharon believes their decision will spare their kids Aimee, 24, Kelly, 22, and 21-year-old Jack the burden of the illness.
She adds, "It’s taken away some of the fear of our ending and is a final gift of love to our kids."

Teenage actress RUMER WILLIS has shocked her parents BRUCE WILLIS and DEMI MOORE and stepfather ASHTON KUTCHER by dying her hair platinum blonde.
The 19-year-old has been wearing a blonde wig for her role in new movie I Know What Boys Like and enjoyed her look so much she decided to go blonde for real.
She says, "I came home and my parents were really shocked when I walked in the house. My sisters looked at me like, ‘What? Your hair!’ "But everyone, my parents, loved it."

LATEST: Actor KIEFER SUTHERLAND has been charged with two misdemeanour counts of driving under the influence after being arrested on Tuesday (25Sep07).
The 24 star also stands accused of violating the terms of his probation relating to a previous DUI conviction in December 2004.
Sutherland faces up to one year in jail and a $1,000 (£500) fine if convicted, and an additional six months jail time if found guilty of violating his probation.
The 40-year-old was pulled over by police in the early hours of Tuesday morning after making an illegal U-turn. A breath test found him to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system, according to reports.
Sutherland’s arraignment hearing is set for 16 October (07).

Actor/director SYLVESTER STALLONE suffered a series of death threats on the Thai/Burmese set of upcoming sequel JOHN RAMBO.
Stallone and his crew made the movie around the border of Thailand and troubled Burma, where he insists a "full-scale genocide" is currently going on.
The 61-year-old, who witnessed refugees fleeing from Burma to Thailand, and the crew received a "lot of threats" and were warned they’d be shot.
Stallone tells American TV show Entertainment Tonight, "It’s the most brutal regime in the world and the most secretive. It has an oppressive regime that (keeps all riches) for themselves. Everyone is forced into drugs or prostitution or slavery.
"People are escaping all the time (from Burma), coming over with gaping, maggot-infested wounds, their ears being cut off. You saw a lot of suffering, a lot of malnutrition.
"We were on the Salween River and we were told to get out because we were going to be shot."

BEYONCE KNOWLES’s upcoming concert in Malaysia has been cancelled, reportedly after the R&B superstar refused to tone down her stage show in order to perform.
The singer had been due to make her debut in Kuala Lumpur in November (07), but was recently warned by organisers to cover up onstage to avoid offending fans in the predominantly Muslim country.
Speaking in August (07), Razlan Ahmad Razali, the chairman of Pineapple Concerts, said, "We’ve informed Beyonce’s management about this issue of clothes… Beyonce won’t be able to do the kind of show here that she does elsewhere." Malaysian students recently threatened to boycott a concert by Gwen Stefani, because of her raunchy reputation, but Stefani toned down her show accordingly.

Actor DANNY DeVITO once found himself lost at sea with MICHAEL DOUGLAS, because his longterm friend convinced him he knew how to sail a catamaran.
DeVito and Douglas had to be rescued by the coast guard during their ill-fated 1960s sailing expedition.
DeVito recalls, "Michael brought me to Connecticut once. He had some friends who said they had a catamaran. I didn’t even know what a catamaran was.
"He said, ‘Come on, let’s get a couple of six-packs (of beer) and go out.’ I figured he knew how to drive it.
"We went out into the water, drank the six-packs - we couldn’t get back.
"And there were people out there sailing, using us as a buoy, going around us. We had to get rescued."

LATEST: Boxer OSCAR DE LA ROYA has spoken for the first time about his gender-bending scandal, insisting the photos showing him wearing a fishnet bodysuit, wig and high-heels are "fake".

But De La Roya is adamant he didn’t pose in the raunchy gear, and has apologised to his wife Millie Corretjer, who is eight months pregnant.

Filmmaker ANG LEE’s controversial new thriller LUST, CAUTION has broken box-office records in both his native Taiwan and Hong Kong this week (begs24Sep07).
Sex scenes in Lust, Caution are so raunchy that ratings board officials in America have given the movie a hard NC-17 rating, while Chinese censors insist Lee must cut 30 minutes from the movie for them to consider releasing it.
However, audiences in Taiwan and Hong Kong have flocked to cinemas to see the film - Lust, Caution has made a record-breaking $1.07 million (£535,000) in three days in Taiwan and set another record opening in Hong Kong with takings of $474,000 (£237,000).

Actress MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ faces being sent to jail after Los Angeles officials on Friday (28Sep07) announced she’s violated her probation for driving under the influence.
The Lost star has allegedly failed to prove she’s enrolled to complete her community service.
According to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, Rodriguez handed in a false document to show she carried out one day of community work on 25 September (07).
Spokesman Frank Mateljan says, "She hasn’t shown proof of enrolment to complete 30 days of community service. She could face jail time, but it’s up to the judge." Superior Court Judge Daviann L. Mitchell on Friday (28Sep07) ordered Rodriguez to complete two days of cleaning-up roads, before agreeing to her lawyer’s request to postpone the hearing until 12 October (07).
But Judge Mitchell told the actress: "I’m not impressed with your completion schedule. I don’t care if you have to camp there, complete it without exception." Rodriguez has been serving an extended period of probation as a result of being found guilty of driving under the influence in Hawaii in December 2005 and twice in Hollywood in 2003.

Movie icon DAME ELIZABETH TAYLOR was presented with a Humanitarian Award For AIDS Activism at a fundraiser in Santa Monica, California on Thursday (27Sep07).
The 75-year-old, who was in a wheelchair, is a founding chairwoman of the annual Macy’s Passport benefit, which launched in 1988 and raises funds and awareness of HIV and AIDS.
During her acceptance speech, Taylor told the audience, "I was here at the first night, here last year. I will continue to be here until we defeat the enemy of HIV and AIDS."

LATEST: Filmmaker FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA lost 15 years of computer data during a recent burglary at his Argentinean home.
Five thieves broke into The Godfather director’s Buenos Aires house and made off with a laptop containing the script for his new movie Tetro, due to start shooting in February (08), writings and family photographs.
Coppola wasn’t home at the time of the break-in, but the burglars threatened a person who was in the property.
Although Coppola has saved copies of the Tetro script elsewhere, on Friday (28Sep07) he issued a plea for the return of a small computer back-up device.
He said, "They stole our computers; they got all our data, many years of work. If I could get the back-up back, it would save me years all the photographs of my family, all my writing." A spokesperson for the Hollywood director says he has offered a reward for the back-up’s safe return.
Tetro is set to star Matt Damon and is about an artistic Italian immigrant family living in Buenos Aires.

Rocker RYAN ADAMS stormed offstage during a concert in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Thursday (27Sep07), after complaining about the quality of the sound monitors.
The 32-year-old spent much of his performance at the State Theatre moaning about the monitors and even went as far as to move two monitors, his guitar pedals and his microphone in an attempt to remedy the situation.
But after 70 minutes, Adams told the audience he would be playing one "last song" before walking offstage and not returning for an encore - to boos from the crowd.

The jury in the PHIL SPECTOR murder trial almost convicted the music producer, according to one juror.
Ricardo Enriquez claims that at one stage during the 12 days of deliberation, all 12 jurors nearly unanimously voted Spector guilty of murdering actress Lana Clarkson in 2003.
He says, "One of the jurors said that she would vote guilty under protest.
And at that point, a couple of the jurors said, no, we want you to vote it with your conscience, without protest.
"And then at that point, one of the other jurors started defending his point in terms of not guilty and then she went back to not guilty." Enriquez adds that Spector’s celebrity made no difference to his own guilty verdict: "I didn’t know who this man was. And it (fame) didn’t play any part." Judge Larry Paul Fidler sent the members of the jury home on Wednesday (26Sep07) after hearing they were unable to break their deadlock after being split ten to two after 12 days of deliberation and six ballots.

DJ UNCLE KRACKER has pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman in a Raleigh, North Carolina nightclub in August (07).
Kracker - real name Matthew Shafer - was sentenced to 12 months’ probation, ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and fined $1,500 (£750) at a court hearing in Wake County on Friday (28Sep07).
Kid Rock’s former collaborator was arrested after a 26-year-old woman approached an off-duty police officer in a nightclub to report Shafer had put his hand up her skirt.

SARA EVANS’s bitter divorce battle has been finalised, sparing the country singer the public embarrassment of having to a state under oath whether or not she cheated on her former husband.
Evans has agreed to pay Craig Schelske, the father of her three children who she wed in 1993, $600,000 (£300,000) in 10 annual payments of $60,000 (£30,000) each, according to court papers filed in Williamson County, Tennessee on Friday (28Sep07).
The agreement stipulates that Evans will keep the family home in Tennessee, while Schelske gets the couple’s two Oregon properties.
The court papers read: "The parties have agreed that it is in their best interests and those of their children to amicably resolve all issues in their pending divorce.
"Each wishes the other well in all future endeavours. Both parties are fully committed to raising their children in a cooperative and positive way." Earlier this month (Sep07), Schelske had filed court documents asking Evans to state whether she was romantically involved with nearly a dozen people during their marriage.

Legendary rockers VAN HALEN kicked off their reunion tour with original singer DAVID LEE ROTH to an ecstatic reception from more than 18,000 fans in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday (27Sep07).
Roth, who hasn’t performed with the band since 1985, and fellow original members Eddie Van Halen and Alex Van Halen took the Bobcats Arena stage alongside Eddie’s 16-year-old son Wolfgang, who completes the line-up on bass.
The group played classics including You Really Got Me, Runnin’ With The Devil, Ice Cream Man, Eruption and Jump.
