The 19-year-old - currently dating Marilyn Manson - admits she’s scared she’ll be criticised and any success unfairly attributed to her boyfriend.
Wood says " I’m probably even more passionate about music than acting, but I don’t want to do it half-assed. "And when I do, I get to deal with the rumours flying around that my boyfriend wrote all my songs and that I’m just using him for a singing career!"

VICTORIA BECKHAM has abandoned a promotional tour to support her soccer star DAVID whose father is recovering from a heart attack.
The LA Galaxy star, 32, flew from Los Angeles on Wednesday (26Sep07) night to join his father Ted, 59 at an East London hospital.
Ted is seriously ill and fighting for his life. The gas fitter was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone on Wednesday and later transferred to the London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green, where he is now said to be in a stable condition.
The Spice Girl arrived on Friday (28Sep07) on a private jet, after cancelling a tour of Japan to promote her perfume range.

Superstar JENNIFER LOPEZ has finally come to terms with her nickname J.LO, after loathing it for years.
The 37-year-old claims she has grown fond of the name, but her family still hate hearing it.

The parents of a missing British child have been banned from appearing on BARBARA WALTERS’ talk show to promote their plight.
Gerry and Kate McCann have been touring the world, appearing on TV to raise awareness of the disappearance of their four year old daughter Madeleine from a holiday resort in Portugal in May (07).
Walters invited the couple to appear in an hour-long TV special - but they would face prosecution in Portugal, where they are still officially suspects in the case.
According to reports, the McCanns’ legal team is searching for a loophole that would allow them to reach a potential TV audience of tens of millions.

LATEST: MILEY CYRUS’ stepmother has blasted hurtful internet reports that the teenager is pregnant, revealing the rumour left the TV star/singer in tears.
A callous hacker reworked a J-14 magazine article online to suggest Cyrus was with child. He even doctored her quotes to make it look like she was apologising to fans for letting them down - and she planned to keep her baby.
Cyrus has maintained a bright outlook as she addressed the reports, but now admits she was devastated.
She says, "As much as I wanna say it didn’t effect me, it really hurt my feelings." And her stepmum Leticia reveals the fake gossip upset the entire Cyrus family.
She explains, "She screamed and was crying. She was very upset which made me more infuriated.
"She has a purity ring and we’re really strong in the belief of being pure until marriage. It was really hard for our family." J-14 officials have since condemned the Internet tampering that led to the false report.

Model/actress JENNY McCARTHY was so concerned about the seizure medication doctors prescribed for her autistic son, she tried it for herself - and became OZZY OSBOURNE for the day.
The sexy blonde admits she had "a weird mommy moment" when she started to realise her then-three-year-old son Evan had been misdiagnosed as an epileptic.
The little boy reacted violently to his medication and so McCarthy decided to try it.
She recalls, "He went psychotic on them (medication)… He was hallucinating, he was banging his head against the wall, he didn’t recognise me, and that was really hard.
"The next medicine they gave me, I wanted to try. It’s not something I’d recommend to anyone but I wanted to know… how he felt, so I took his seizure meds.
"No offence to Ozzy Osbourne but (I felt) exactly like Ozzy. I was slurring my speech, I was a little off balance and I was drooling a bit.
"I said to myself, ‘This will at least stop the seizures and mommy will find something better… I felt really scared because I didn’t know what was going on." McCarthy insisted on several second opinions about her son’s condition and eventually a top Los Angeles neurologist diagnosed autism.
For the past two years, McCarthy has battled her son’s autism and now insists Evan’s darkest days are behind him - and he no longer reacts violently to his medication.

SUGABABE star KEISHA BUCHANAN was jealous of "beautiful, blonde, stage school" bandmate HEIDI RANGE when she first joined the band - and "made her life hell".

Rockers NINE INCH NAILS will split after the release of their forthcoming album YEAR ZERO REMIXED, frontman TRENT REZNOR has revealed. The current lineup of Reznor; drummer Josh Freese; guitarist Aaron North; bassist Jeordie White and keyboardist Alessandro Cortini, played their last gig together in Honolulu in September (07) - and they will disband at the end of 2007.
Reznor says, "At this point, I want to switch things around a bit. I see other ways I can present Nine Inch Nails’ material in concert. Something more challenging, something new. I don’t want it to go stale.
"The idea of five guys making music for two hours, while it’s the culmination of fine-tuning over a lot of years, has got to change. I want to whittle things down."

OASIS rocker LIAM GALLAGHER has officially ended his band’s long feud with rock rivals BLUR.
The two groups fell out in the early 1990s when their singles and albums battled it out in the U.K. charts. Members of both bands have carried out the rift through the pages of national newspapers, taking every opportunity to attack each other.
But Gallagher insists the row is a thing of the past - and even admits a respect for his one time nemesis.
He tells Mojo, "I don’t mind Blur. I’m over it. It was a laugh man, that’s what you do when you’re young.
"When I see Damon Albarn, I buzz off him. If I was still caught up in it now I’d be a right wanker."

British rockers RADIOHEAD are the victims of a hoax website that is duping fans.
The site - radioheadlp7.com - launched on Friday (28Sep07) with a countdown timer due to reach zero on Saturday morning (29Sep07).
It claimed it would be making a big announcement about the band.
Fans speculated the Creep hitmakers were planning to reveal details about their next album.
But a spokesperson for the band has called the website a "hoax" and "nothing to do with Radiohead".
Earlier this week a number of fans claimed to have deciphered codes hidden on the group’s official website, which they believed revealed details about Radiohead’s seventh studio LP.

Pregnant star NICOLE RICHIE has checked into an 18-month anti-drinking program in California, according to reports.
The 26-year-old Simple Life star signed up for the SB 38 Alcohol Program on 26 September (07), according to documents obtained by People.com.
The course is for people convicted of driving under the influence more than once within seven years - according to the Santa Barbara Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
Richie was arrested or DUI on 11 December (06) after she was spotted driving the wrong way down Highway 134 in Southern California. She admitted to smoking marijuana and taking the painkiller Vicodin.
On the course, Richie will have to undergo 52 hours of group counseling, bi-weekly face-to-face interviews and 12 hours of alcohol education.

Actress JENNIFER GARNER has defended her husband BEN AFFLECK after a masseuse suspected he was beating her up.
The actress was left black and blue after filming several fight scenes for her new movie The Kingdom - injuries that aroused the suspicions of a concerned therapist.
She says, "The masseuse thought I had been beaten by my husband. The lady gave me a lecture about where to go to get help.
"I tried to tell her that the bruises came from working on a show but she wouldn’t listen. She must have thought it was an elaborate variation on the ‘I walked into a door’ excuse."

Pop superstar GEORGE MICHAEL decided to become a pop star after whacking his head when he was eight years old.
The former Wham! frontman claims the injury changed his outlook on life and inspired him to become a singer.
Speaking on British BBC radio show Desert Island Discs - due to be aired on Sunday (30Sep07) - he says, "At the age of about eight I had a head injury and I know it sounds bizarre and unlikely, but it was quite a bad bang, and I had it stitched up and stuff, but all my interests changed, everything changed in six months.
"I had been obsessed with insects and creepy crawlies, I used to get up at five o’clock in the morning and go out into this field behind our garden and collect insects before everyone else got up and, suddenly, all I wanted to know about was music, it just seemed a very, very strange thing.
"And I have a theory that maybe it was something to do with this accident, this whole left-brain right-brain thing. Nobody in my family seemed to notice but I became absolutely obsessed with music and everything changed after that."

Oscar-winning actor RUSSELL CROWE found it hard to say goodbye to his co-stars after filming finished on movie 3:10 TO YUMA - particularly his character’s horse.
The Gladiator star - who plays Ben Wade in the Western movie - admits he became particularly fond of the animal.
He says, "Doing these sort of movies with animals, you get close because it’s an intense working relationship - 10 or 12 hours a day for months - so it’s hard to say goodbye.
"There are some you have a deeper connection with immediately and you can work on that over time. I’ve found over the years that the more gentle you are with a horse, the deeper that connection gets."
