PISTOLS `LONGEVITY’ DOWN TO BAD MANAGEMENT
Punk icons the SEX PISTOLS owe their brief success to bad management, according to frontman JOHN LYDON.
As the group plans a reunion in London to mark the 30th anniversary of their Never Mind The Bollocks Here’s The Sex Pistols album release later this year (07), Lydon insists the British band only made it to America thanks to terrible management by Malcolm McLaren.
The Sex Pistols disbanded after a show in San Francisco, California in January 1978, which was months longer than most expected.
Lydon says, "As a band, we wouldn’t have stayed together as long if we’d had serious management."
