VIOLINIST SHAPIRO DIES
Veteran violinist EUDICE SHAPIRO has died of natural causes. She was 93.
Shapiro passed away at her home in Studio City, California on 17 September (07).
Born in Buffalo, New York in 1914, she learned the violin at a young age and became a sensation with the Buffalo Philharmonic orchestra at the age of 12.
In 1941, Shapiro moved to Los Angeles and spent the next 23 years playing in movie studio orchestras for Paramount, United Artists and RKO.
Twice-married, she is survived by a son and a brother.
