British actor COLIN FIRTH fears he will never escape his most famous role, as the womanising Mr Darcy from the BBC TV adaptation of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE.
Despite conquering Hollywood with roles in Bridget Jones’s Diary and The Girl With The Pearl Earring, Firth is still best known as the handsome hero of the Jane Austin epic - and suspects he always will.
He says, "In every single film since there’s been a scene when someone goes, ‘Well I think you’ve just killed Mr Darcy.’ But he is a figure that won’t die."
