RIHANNA has hit out at reports she is embroiled in a feud with her fellow R&B superstar BEYONCE KNOWLES, and admits she finds such speculation "annoying".
The Umbrella singer is also horrified by gossip she is romantically involved with her music mogul mentor Jay-Z, who is Knowles’ longterm boyfriend.
She says, "It actually gets annoying sometimes. At first it was funny, because I was like, ‘This is insane.’ But it gets frustrating after awhile.
"Now, I’m ignoring it, I’m getting better at doing that.
"But she (Knowles) is one of the sweetest women I’ve ever met."

CHARLIZE THERON has praised WOODY HARRELSON’s bravery - after he French kissed the Oscar winner in front of her boyfriend.
The pair were filming Stuart Townsend’s new movie Battle In Seattle when Harrelson decided to take a kissing scene as far as he could.
Theron says, "We had to do this little scene where we’re checking out the little baby in my character’s belly and he’s saying goodbye to me.
"Stuart is directing this movie and Woody tries to French kiss me. That’s brave."

Country queen REBA McENTIRE looks set to limit KANYE WEST and 50 CENT’s stranglehold on the top of the U.S. charts to just a week as she sets her sights on her first Billboard 200 number one album.
After crashing into the top of the charts with amazing first week figures last Wednesday (19Sep07), sales for West and 50’s new albums have tailed off giving McEntire a chance to topple both.
Official figures released over the weekend show McEntire’s Reba Duets album is almost 60,000 ahead of West’s Graduation, which beat off a challenge from 50 Cent’s Curtis to top the charts last week.
If McEntire claims the top spot, it’ll mark the beginning of an amazing week for the flame-haired singer - she will receive Billboard’s inaugural Woman Of The Year award on 5 October (07) in New York.

Rapper 50 CENT has at last emerged victorious in his chart battle with KANYE WEST - his CURTIS CD is Europe’s number one album.
West’s album Graduation beat rap rival 50 Cent’s Curtis to the top of the charts in the U.S. and U.K. when they were both released on 11 September (07).
However, Curtis has proved more popular than Graduation in Europe, where West’s album only managed to debut at three - Manu Chao’s La Radiolina snagged the number two spot.
Meanwhile, singer/songwriter James Blunt’s 1973 has knocked Timbaland’s collaboration with Keri Hilson, The Way I Are, off the top of the European singles chart.
Timbaland falls to two, while Sean Kingston’s Beautiful Girl is at three.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ former bodyguard observed the troubled pop star taking drugs in a restaurant toilet.
Tony Barretto, who was fired in May (07) after failing to pick up a hat for the troubled pop superstar, claims he caught Spears taking drugs on two separate occasions.
And now the minder is speaking out because he wants to make sure the officials presiding over the pop star’s ongoing child custody battle have all the facts about his former boss’ drug taking.
Speaking on Monday’s (24Sep07) Today show in America, Barretto revealed he caught Spears abusing drugs on two separate occasions - once in a restaurant restroom.
He said, "It was secured for her and she was in there for some time alone, and I was waiting for her outside the door.
"I thought it would be appropriate to check on her and I knocked and peaked in and I observed this behaviour." On the second occasion, Barretto was asked to hold up a "curtain" so Spears could take drugs in private.
He added, "At one point it was getting kinda hard to continue to hold the curtain for such a long period of time. I (took a) look over to get her approval to let go of the curtain, at which point I noticed what she was doing."

Late soul man LUTHER VANDROSS inspired MARIAH CAREY to sleep in a steam room.
The tragic singer told his friend all about the benefits of steam, prompting Carey to create a humidity zone in her New York apartment, where she sleeps for three hours at a time.
She reveals, "It’s a water bed covered in terry cloth, so none of this stuff is going to get destroyed by the steam. I sleep in here for three hours and then I go into my bedroom.
"Luther Vandross was actually the one who told me about the humidity being helpful to the voice and skin and everything."

GEORGE CLOONEY picked the right man to look after his mangled motorbike after crashing it last week (21Sep07) - the guardian of the wreckage has refused to let photographers snap the bike.
The movie star asked Jerry Zaslavsky to take care of the bike after Clooney collided with a car outside his house in Weehawken, New Jersey on Friday.
Clooney made the request just before he and girlfriend Sarah Larson were taken to a nearby hospital.
And though Zaslavsky has been cashing in on being in the right place at the right time in a series of TV interviews, he’s refusing to let anyone get a photo of Clooney’s bike.
He says, "There were people trying to take pictures of the bike. They offered money for the bike, but I wouldn’t make money on someone’s misfortune."

Pop superstar JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE leads the nominations for the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards - he’s up for four prizes.
The 26-year-old singer is up for the Headliner Award, Ultimate Urban Act and Video Star Award, and faces competition from Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne and Rihanna in the Solo Artist Of 2007 category.
Elsewhere, Lavigne, Furtado, Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles, Amy Winehouse, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance have three nominations apiece.
The 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards will be hosted by rapper Snoop Dogg and will take place in Munich, Germany on 1 November (07).

SEAN PENN still catches glimpses of his tragic brother CHRIS when he walks past the actor’s home.
Chris Penn died in January 2006 from an enlarged heart brought on by obesity, but his big brother still feels the Footloose star’s presence - especially when he walks his old neighbourhood.
The actor/director tells Vogue magazine, "He’s still completely here to me.
He used to live right up the street and I took a walk today in his old stomping grounds, and I saw him three or four times, that lumbering walk.
"And his voice… I feel like I could’ve just heard it on the phone."

Movie star ANNETTE BENING has pulled out of her first performance on the Broadway stage for 20 years, citing "personal reasons".
The American Beauty actress was to have played a feminist writer suffering from writer’s block in director Michael Mayer’s play The Female Of The Species.
But the 49-year-old has now dropped out of both the production’s February (08) premiere at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse and its subsequent New York run, scheduled to open in April (08).
It is unclear whether Bening’s withdrawal will have any affect on her upcoming role opposite Bette Midler, Carrie Fisher, Meg Ryan, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Eva Mendes and Candice Bergen in movie remake The Women.

Wrestling icon HULK HOGAN’s teenage son has been fined $1,000 (£500) after pleading guilty to driving almost double the speed limit in a construction zone.
Nick Bollea, 17, was spotted speeding by a Florida police officer on 10 August (07).
During a court hearing in Clearwater, Florida on Monday (24Sep07), Judge William Overton ordered Bollea to complete a 12-hour driver improvement course within 90 days and fined him an additional $73.50 (£36.75) for not wearing a seatbelt.
Just over two weeks after the incident, Bollea lost control of his father’s Toyota Supra on a Clearwater highway. According to police, the vehicle flipped at high speed and collided with a palm tree.
The teen and his passenger, John Graziano, were air-lifted to a nearby hospital. Hogan’s son was released a few days later. His pal is still fighting for his life.

Wrestling star-turned-movie action man THE ROCK has called on the fighting world to step up drug education programmes - so tragedies like CHRIS BENOIT’s death can be avoided.
The Scorpion King star was devastated when fellow former wrestler Benoit shot himself after killing his wife and son in June (07), while high on a cocktail of drugs.
And he’s keen for the wrestling world’s powers to clean up the sport, adopting a no-tolerance policy towards drugs, and creating a new system to educate up-and-coming fighters.
The Rock - real name Dwayne Johnson - tells WENN, "First and foremost, what I think has to happen is there should be an aggressive educational process put in place.
"Even though these guys are grown men and they are responsible for everything they do, they clearly aren’t armed with the knowledge they need to understand just how dangerous these drugs are.
"Not only are they illegal drugs but when you mix illegal drugs with that lifestyle, it’s a recipe for disaster.
"I know that governing bodies are working towards a zero tolerance policy.
That is so important. It starts with the parents and the coaches."

LATEST: Police officials in New Jersey have no plans to charge actor GEORGE CLOONEY with dangerous driving following his motorcycle accident, but are continuing to investigate the incident.
Clooney and his new girlfriend Sarah Larson were riding around Palisades on Friday (21Sep07) when they were hit by a car.
The Ocean’s Eleven star suffered a rib fracture and grazes in the accident and Larson, who was his passenger, broke two toes. Both were taken to the Palisades Medical Center for treatment and have since been released.
A police statement reads: "Due to conflicting statements of driver (sic) and the lack of evidence to support either driver’s version, no moving violation summonses have been issued to either party at this time. The incident remains under investigation."

HANNAH MONTANA star MILEY CYRUS has blasted a cruel internet hacker who sparked a report the 14-year-old is pregnant.
Cyberspace went crazy over the weekend (22-23Sep07) after Cyrus seemingly admitted to being with child in an online J-14 interview.
In the piece, the 14-year-old said, "I’m going to take good care of my baby.
I’ve already gained seven pounds." She apologised to fans, admitting, "I went a little too far." But now the teenager’s aides are fighting back, insisting the story is "a complete fabrication".
A J-14 spokesman insists the magazine never reported Cyrus was pregnant, and that a hacker doctored an article on the publication’s website.
Editor-in-chief Janet Giovanelli says, "There are a number of internet postings pertaining to J-14 that are erroneous. I would like to clear this up.
J-14 never reported Miley Cyrus is pregnant."

PEARL JAM star EDDIE VEDDER fears he’ll have to increase concert ticket prices after years of fighting to keep them low - because fans keep stealing his songs.
The rocker was one of the leading voices against high ticket fees - and famously took on Ticketmaster in America - but now he feels downloading is killing music and he’ll need to seek profits elsewhere.
Vedder says, "A lot of people are getting your music without having to pay, and it’s only $12.
"I ordered eggs at a little restaurant in Seattle and it was $9.50. I was thinking, ‘You can’t spend two extra bucks for a record that you put your heart and soul into?’ "I think the problem is to charge more for tickets, which is something we’ve always been abhorrent to do; either that or you’re gonna have to start accepting sponsorships, or start selling your music to Viagra.
"I’m not sure how we’ll do it. I’m glad we gave money away when we did - when it came in from making records. We kind of spread it around and helped people in our community and abroad in different ways."

Rocker DAVE GROHL almost turned his back on music after NIRVANA bandmate KURT COBAIN killed himself in 1994.
Grohl, who played drums in the legendary group, was devastated by Cobain’s suicide and admits his career as the Foo Fighters frontman came about almost by accident.
He says, "When Nirvana was finished I didn’t really know what to do. Our lives and our world were turned upside down.
"It’s hard to imagine playing music after something like that. It was hard for me. I had always written and recorded songs by myself. I wouldn’t really play them for anyone.
"(So) after Nirvana was finished I spent a lot of time just travelling around and thinking, and then I thought, ‘I know what I will do. I’ll book six days in the studio down the street from my house and I’ll record my favourite 12/13 songs I’ve ever written.’ "I never thought I’d still be here doing this. Never."
