Singer IAN McCULLOCH has turned into a recluse following his 2006 ordeal when he was falsely accused of assaulting two fans.
The Echo & The Bunnymen frontman was cleared of the alleged beating, but the harrowing experience has left him too scared to socialise in public.
He says, "It embarrasses me when I mess up and people say: ‘Everybody loves you.’ I know they do.
"But I don’t like to mingle much because I feel self-conscious. I’ve been going through a reclusive phase."
