McCARTHY PRAISES CARREY’S PARENTING SKILLS
Actress JENNY McCARTHY has praised boyfriend JIM CARREY’s skills in relating to her autistic son EVAN, branding him the "autism whisperer".
The former model, 34, credits the Hollywood funnyman for easing her son’s difficulties with the disorder and admits the five-year-old "feels safe" in Carrey’s care.
She says, "Beyond doubt it was written in the stars that Jim and Evan were a pair.
"He’s actually helped Evan get past some obstacles I couldn’t. I sometimes call him the autism whisperer. He speaks a language Evan understands, and Evan feels safe with him.
"He’s learned a lot about autism. He listens. The power of listening. It can move mountains."
