God sued
A US man is suing God for causing "widespread death and destruction".
Politician Ernie Chambers, from Nebraska, claims the almighty one has terrorised him and his constituents and has asked a judge to put an injunction against the Lord for causing "fearsome floods, horrendous hurricanes and terrifying tornadoes".
The 70-year-old - who claims to have contacted God on numerous occasions without success - also says he should be blamed for causing "calamitous catastrophes resulting in the widespread death, destruction and terrorisation of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants including innocent babes, infants, children, the aged and infirm without mercy or distinction".
Mr Chambers said he filed the lawsuit to prove how many frivolous cases there were in the US justice system.
