COSTELLO & WHITE SURPRISE DYLAN FANS IN NASHVILLE
BOB DYLAN fans were in for a real treat when the rocker took to the stage at the fabled Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night (19Sep07) - he was joined by ELVIS COSTELLO and JACK WHITE.
Costello is scheduled to open for Dylan on tour from this Saturday (22Sep07), but he thought he’d surprise his hero with an early appearance in Nashville.
And White Stripes star White, who lives nearby, decided to join them onstage.
Costello walked onstage unannounced and performed a nine-song acoustic set that included (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding and Veronica, according to CMT.com.
White performed Dylan’s Meet Me in the Morning during the folk-rocker’s set.
This was White’s first public show since he announced he was cancelling the White Stripes’ 2007 dates to allow bandmate Meg White to recover from acute anxiety earlier this month (Sep07).
