Attack of the sausage dog
A British owner of an eight-inch sausage-dog has been cleared of letting a dangerous dog run out of control.
Shawn Anderson claimed he was "inconsolable" after miniature Dachshund Lucy allegedly bit him on the ankle and his jeans.
But Newcastle Magistrates’ Court gave the mini-mutt a reprieve after it was heard Anderson suffered no injuries, no teeth marks and no damage to his jeans.
After around 30 minutes of deliberation, the magistrates formally cleared Lucy’s owner Mrs Hobson of having a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.
