THERON CONSIDERS CAREER IN POLITICS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:15 pm

Oscar winner CHARLIZE THERON is considering a career in politics after taking an interest in the U.S presidential elections.
The Monster star credits her South African upbringing to her interest in politics, which taught her not to be scared to question authority.
She says, "I’m very politically aware. I don’t think I can be one of those people that can walk around with blinders on. I question authority, question what the government is doing, and I think that is an incredibly patriotic thing to do. I think if I didn’t care I wouldn’t ask any questions. "I love America and love living in this country. And I think, maybe coming from a country like South Africa, and being used to political turmoil, that’s just the way I grew up.
"I think it’s important to see and hear what everybody’s agendas are."

LOPEZ ESTRANGED FROM HER MOTHER?

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:12 pm

Latin beauty JENNIFER LOPEZ is "barely on talking terms" with her mother because she is too busy to pick up the phone, according to U.S. reports. The singer/actress, 38, is believed to have grown distant from her once-cherished mother, Guadalupe, who cannot confirm reports her daughter is expecting a baby, because they are not talking.
She tells New York Daily News, "I didn’t hear about it. You know more than I do. I don’t talk to her very often. I don’t see her often. "She is very busy here taking care of my sister. (Jennifer is) very busy doing what she does." It is believed Lopez’s marriage to Marc Anthony may have frayed relations between mother and daughter.
Lopez admitted in a 2005 interview, "My mum’s tough. I don’t want to get into that because it’s a little personal and she gets angry with me when I say things. But, you know, she loves me a lot, so no-one’s good enough."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:06 pm

Bassist Pete Wentz, 28, says the project was the "most rewarding thing" he has ever done with the band. He says, "Originally when we came here, we had a plan. (The video) was going to be shot documentary-style. We were gonna shoot it as Fall Out Boy coming here and interacting. But we decided that this treatment seemed more dangerous and compelling. I mean, have you ever seen a love story between Ugandan people - especially with a rock band - on TRL?" "Everyone’s been focusing so much attention on our band lately - and so many times, it’s the wrong kind of attention - (but) it’s all right if the cameras follow us to Africa."

MUELLER BRANDS RICHARDS ‘LAUGHABLE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:30 pm

BROOKE MUELLER has blasted love rival DENISE RICHARDS’ claims against her ex-husband CHARLIE SHEEN, branding them "laughable".
Former Bond girl Richards, 36, filed the papers at Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (19Sep07), in which she is seeking "the assistance of the court to obtain orders to protect her children" from Sheen.
Richards further claims their two children, Sam, three, and two-year-old Lola, didn’t learn of their father’s engagement to Mueller, 30, until it was announced on a TV show. But Mueller refutes these claims, saying, "That is 100 per cent untrue.
Denise begged us on a few difference occasions not to tell the girls we were engaged." Richards also filed e-mails from Mueller where she allegedly apologises for Sheen’s past tirades against his former wife. But Mueller believes Richards edited the e-mails to bolster her custody battle. She tells People.com, "It’s a shame that Denise conveniently edited my e-mail correspondence to serve her own interests, "She would be both mortified and embarrassed if I released any one of her 40 e-mails to me. But she knows my character and humanity and knows that I would ever do such a thing.
"Denise’s claims are laughable at best. She hasn’t lived with Charlie for over two years. But this is a battle we will fight in court, not in the press." Sheen and Richards divorced in 2006 and the former couple have been battling over the custody of their children ever since.
