STORMS OFFICIALLY CHARGED WITH DUI
LATEST: American soap star KIRSTEN STORMS has been officially charged with driving under the influence following her arrest last week (07Sep07).
The Days of Our Lives star, 23, was pulled over in her Mercedes on 7 September after a Los Angeles traffic cop spotted her throwing a cigarette out of her window.
She was arrested after officers "noticed the odour of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle" and taken into custody in California’s Van Nuys Jail.
Storms is now due to appear in Van Nuys Superior Court on 2 October (07) where she will be arraigned on two misdemeanour charges: one count of DUI and another of driving a vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 or more.
The TV actress faces a $1,000 (£500) fine and up to six months in jail if she is found guilty of the crime.
