Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:33 pm

Troubled British pop star AMY WINEHOUSE isn’t planning to sober up anytime soon - if her rider backstage at the MOBO Awards in London is anything to go by.
The Rehab singer, who suffered health problems this summer (07) after an apparent drug overdose, hasn’t cut back on her heavy drinking ways.
Among the items she requested backstage before her performance at the MOBO Awards were two bottles of Rioja, two cases of 24-pack Heineken, one large bottle of vodka, two bottles of champagne (chilled with flutes) and two bottles of Jack Daniels.
But at least the singer is eating healthily - her rider also included fresh fruit, meat and cheese trays, a piece of root ginger, chicken drumsticks and a jar of honey.

ALBA TEACHES DeGENERES HOW TO WALK

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:33 pm

Comedienne ELLEN DeGENERES has commissioned JESSICA ALBA to help develop her walk after learning the actress has the world’s sexiest stroll.
British experts claim Alba has the "perfect walk" after conducting a scientific study based on the ratio between her hips and waist.
So, when Alba appeared on DeGeneres’ talk show on Thursday (20Sep07), she insisted the embarrassed actress teach her how to develop a "sexy swagger".
Reluctant Alba, who has called the study "silly", agreed - and took a walk with DeGeneres, stating, "I don’t understand." In the study, the Cambridge boffins determined the "ratio" provides the body with "the right torso strength to produce a regular swing and bounce to the hips during the walking motion." They added, "Therefore a woman with a 25-inch (63.5 cenitmetres) waist, and 36-inch (91.4 centimetres) hips would have just the right proportions to carry out a sexy swagger as she walks."

LEAVE IT TO BEAVER TROUBLEMAKER OSMOND SUES SCREEN ACTORS GUILD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:24 pm

Beloved U.S. TV star KEN OSMOND is suing the Screen Actors Guild union bosses for allegedly holding back more than $8 million (£4 million) in foreign royalties belonging to him and his peers.
The Leave It To Beaver star filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Tuesday (18Sep07), accusing SAG chiefs of "unjust enrichment" and "violations of the California business code".
The lawsuit seeks class-action status on behalf of at least 30,000 actors and others.
Osmond argues that since at least 1996, SAG has collected royalties for use of TV and movie productions outside the U.S. in the form of levies for video rentals, private copying, cable transmissions and other uses.
He says very little of the cash has been distributed to the actors, himself included.
The lawsuit contends that the guild has collected more than $8 million (£4 million) - but paid out only about $250,000 (£125,000).
In the documents, Osmond says, "SAG stated that paying out the monies was ‘complex,’ and that it did not have a system in place to pay out such monies."

She says, "I feel like if I’m in the public eye, I’m working, I’m not trying to let it all hang out at a premiere or at… any kind of awards show.
"I’d rather stay home and play Jenga with a twist, cook some pasta." So what’s this Jenga with a twist game? She adds, "We write really embarrassing things on the Jenga pieces, so that everytime someone picks it out, they get to do fun stuff, like put the person to the left of you’s toe in your mouth! "We also do this charades-type game and we play Pictionary."

LOVE SETTLES LAWYERS BATTLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:18 pm

COURTNEY LOVE has settled an ongoing dispute with attorneys who represented her in a legal battle against her late husband KURT COBAIN’s NIRVANA bandmates.
Lawyers Katherine Hendricks and Yale Lewis claimed Love owed them more than $340,000 (£170,000) for their work in a 2002 copyright battle, which the former Hole star won, picking up an estimated $9 million (£4.5 million).
In the case, Love sued Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Nirvana’s record company over their plans to release the band’s back catalogue as part of a box set.
The Seattle Weekly claims Love settled the case with her former lawyers for an undisclosed sum just before the case was scheduled to go to trial on Wednesday (19Sep07).
